Hey Diva! Glad you enjoyed that. Thanks for stopping by.
Well, we have absolutely gotten hammered with snow. We got a bunch yesterday and more this morning. It is still going. Needless to say, my PT session is cancelled today, so I will be working out at home. I'm sure that will be fun with the kiddos and I bought some of their favorite snacks when I caught wind of this storm and I plan on bribing them for some unninterrupted workout time.
I'd like to get that workout B in, that I so conveniently skipped.
I also want to do some back and just kick my own ass. So that is the plan. I figure if I can't get my regular ass kicking from my trainer, I need to step up to the plate and just get it done.
I am bummed that my trainer still has my NROL4W book. Today would be a perfect time to look ahead, weep and plan for stage 3. He did say if he ventured out to the gym, he would call so that I could get my session in, which would be wonderful.
I think I will get back on fitday and log some of the things that I eat often. I have been digging the graphs and such that some of the Women have with their food and I want some.

It looks to me like you are already living up to your new t-shirts.
Ah, Greg. Thanks so much and thanks for stopping by.
Today's workout
I had to do this at home, so a couple of modifications had to be made. Stage 2, Workout B #3
Wide grip DL from box - not from a box
10X95
10X105
Superset
Bulgarian Split Squats
10eX25lb plate
10eX25
Underhand grip lat pull down - my cable is waay different than the one at the gym, so I just recorded what it told me
10X60
10X70
Superset
Rev. lunge from box w/forward reach - I used a couple of weights stacked up and it was very awkward.
10X15e
10X20e
DB prone Cuban Snatch –
10X8e
10X8e
Swiss ball crunch
10X25lb plate
10X25lb plate
SB crunch
10X25lb plate
10X25lb plate
Rev. Crunch
10X25lb plate
10X25lb plate
Flexion on the swiss ball. I tried this and really like it and I feel it.
10XBW
10XBW
Prone Cobra
60 sec XBW, 20 sec XBW
50 sec XBW, 20 sec XBW
I also did some additional schtuff. I was really enjoying the oly bar we bought and since I was at home I work a tank and actually caught some new muscles in the mirrors, which was cool and motivating.
Supersets:
Wide grip lat pulldown (again my machine is so different)
10X70
10X70
10X75
Bicep curls w/BB
10X55
10X55
10X45
Superset
Pull throughs
10X60
10X60
10X60
DB shoulder press(our dumbbells are 15lb and 30lbs - 30 was too heavy and 15 is too light. DH wants us to get a pair of those adjustable ones and we do need them)
15X15
15X15
15X15
I also shoveled an ass load of snow, after this workout. I have been outside 3 different times. My work from the first 2X was filled in, by new snow which is a little aggravating but it had to be done. My poor dog (an 85 lb lab) went to jump off the back porch and got stuck. That's when I realized how much damn snow there really was.
So, of course I had to hop in the Jeep and go explore a bit. The roads were terrible, so I turned around and went back home. My husband had to work today and said the interstate was terrible, but he made there safe. Now, just to get him home safe.
I also spent some time getting some of my foods and PP entered into Fitday. I was using Sparkpeople, but I am really liking Fitday and may even spring for the added extras. We'll see.
I am having a tough time with food today. I don't like being stuck inside the house, so I have helped myself to a couple of the GSC (Thin Mints) that I had been doing really well at avoiding.

Oh Ginger, I hear ya! Isn't this terrible! I hate being stranded.....I feel so claustrophobic today. Got about 20" here. UGH!
I'm glad you tried the side crunches for the side flexion. I haven't seen too many others choose that one, and it's become one of my favorites!
I have the powerblocks and they really are pretty cool. It does take a bit of getting used to them, though, since they aren't the shape and feel we are used to with DB's.
Nice workout today....you've got way more energy than I can muster up today. I feel like a slug. Good thing I got my workout in at the BEGINNING of the blizzard!

That's the amount the news said we got, too. I have already made it known that my ass is heading to the gym in the morning, alone. I'm evil! LOL
I do like the side crunches! Thanks to you and Lori for turning me on to them.
I saw that you made it to the gym last night, that was a good decision.

Damn girl! I talked to my Grandma in Lancaster and she reported 14" of snow, that just sucks and makes it harder to believe that Spring is around the corner. Sounds like you got in a gret workout in spite of not making it to the gym. LMAO about the "WG Deadlifts from box-not from a box."
You should have called Christian and told him to drive his snowmobile over and deliver your book!
Interesting stuff around here today, will definitely be calling tomorrow to cuss and discuss.
Congrats on the self ass-kicking!
Your home workout looks great! I love having an olympic bar, although I still would like to add some other stuff. Your poor dog. I was thinking about you and Jane with the 20" of snow BS! We were supposed to get hammered with up to a foot but we ended up getting some rain and ice and maybe only 4 - 6" of snow.
Ginger, I know how it feels to see all your shoveling efforts be covered up. Sorry to hear you're all being bombarded with snow . We got 6" last week, but it's finally feeling like spring might be coming. (And there's continuously been 1-2 feet since Christmas, so it's still got a lot of melting before we actually see the ground.)
We only got rain here in CT, but I would almost rather have had snow. I don't even like snow, but it's less depressing than rain. And I'm sorry your puppy got stuck! Though I'm sure it was still cute :-) I love labs, they're my favorite :-)
Ahhhhh cookies from the girl scouts should NOT be allowed near snow-ins.....what a deadly combo!
I hope you're all clear now! (not from the cookies--I know you'll do just fine there but from the snow!)

Glad you didn't get hit too hard, but still 4-6 is no fun.

It was kinda funny, to be honest. We ended up making her a pretty cool path to travel through.

Hi Kirjava, thanks for stopping by. I am happy to say the cookies are all gone. No need to elaborate, right?

I did a 5 minute warm up on the AMT. After my weights, I did 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer and the 10 minutes of pretty hardcore intervals on the step mill.
It was a great, great workout. It was wonderful because the roads were still crappy enough that really only the die-hards were there.
I got home and then headed over to my Mom’s to shovel her driveway. She lives in a condo where when they plow the roads, she gets trapped. So, I shoveled her drive and that took me about 45 minutes.
I got my food back in check yesterday, too and that helped me feel better.
from yesterday.
I have to get my book back today. I plan on doing my last B workout from Stage 2 and then getting started with Stage 3.

All that shovelling is actually a great workout so that should help you overall. I am trying to think of a positive on the weather you guys are having. It almost makes me feel guilty for enjoying the sunshine and spring like weather that we had this weekend. I even sat outside to take a meal.

Great workout! Bye bye, evil temptress cookies....
Of course my husband just HAD to buy chocolate chips over the weekend. If nobody see or eats the chocolate chips, do they cease to exist? A little existentialist experiment going on in my cupboard.

I tried one of those. If the girl scout cookies that Shawn hid behind my frozen veggies stay hidden ... Unfortunately it didn't work.
I will admit my darkest secret here:
My vision of heaven is a magical place filled with lakes of spinach-dill dip only shadowed by clouds of heavy whipped cream, mountains formed by thick layers of nachos, and little stepping stones made of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies.
BUT, because it's heaven, you can eat whatever you want and still remain the picture of health and beauty.
That being said, and now that I've wiped the drool from my chin, Girl Scouts ARE just small soldiers of the devil's army meant to spread fat on asses across the land. (I can say that because I was a Girl Scout!)

No Shit..... Stick those stepping stones in the freezer baby and get them nice and cold, and pour me a big ol glass of milk and I can pretty much polish off a box of the damn thin mints in no time.

I appreciate the positive try on things, but the "sunshine and spring" comment was like a slap in the face. LMAO!

My hubby loves chocolate chip cookies, too. Pure torture, because there is no eating just one, for me.

At least those cookies are only around once a year, right? At least that was part of my rationalization.

You had me at spinach/dill dip. Gotta add in some chicken-dippy, too. Pure evil.
