Day T-4 (7-10-08):

Exercise:

20 pushups
25 situps
3 pullups
20 pushups
25 situps
3 pull ups
20 pushups
25 situps
3 pullups
20 pushups
25 situps

Finisher:
10 front kicks (each leg)
10 round kicks (each leg)
10 side kicks (each leg)
10 hook kicks (each leg)
3 triple side kicks (each)

Cut the workout short, due to a storm moving in and I had to walk back to the office. The last 2 sets of situps were a bitch, I really need to work on the ab endurance and the last set of pullups were not that easy. I am going to work the pullups situps into my workouts a lot more. Really need to be able to knoock more of those out.

Might add some kind of pullup/situp goal to my list for the JP challenge, not to mention, if Jugglecat can get lats like that from lots of pullups, I am all over that (the lats, not Tony - with Ben P49er and RL around here, you have to be careful how you state things)

Don't worry, I'm sorta all over Juggle too in an envious, "damn you!" kinda way.

Good to see you're still at it even after the challenge.

Yeah, I think I will jump into the 2nd Half challenge also. Since its a "goal" orientated challenge, it fits what I am trying to do now.

You signing on, for another challenge???

Doubt it. My goals in general are very undefined right now, and those I have aren't fitness-related!

Friday (7-11-08)

no gym workout, but had a black belt screen at night...

Pretty much blew the screening... Botched my 3 forms, and had sparring at the end of the screening and almost knocked the kid out cold. So much for self-control. Didn't get my ass chewed as bad as I thought at Saturday morning's kickboxing class, but still felt bad about it.

But never-the-less, it was a solid 120 minute intense workout.

Monday (7-14-08)

Exercise:

4 cycles:
3 pullups
25 pushups
20 Russian Twist (w/ 3kg Medicine ball)
25 situps

Finisher:
Finisher:
10 front kicks (each leg)
10 round kicks (each leg)
10 side kicks (each leg)

Abs were killing me when this was done, but 15 minutes later they felt fine?!?!?! Wondering if the DOMS are going to be brutal?

I suck at pull ups, anyone got a good training program for pullups, I would like to get myself so I could do 25 of them in a row.

Started the Armstrong Pullup program this morning.

Morning Pushups: (x3)
46,25,25

Not certain if it was just starting right away in the morning, or I have become increadibly weak lately. But my first set of pushups was only 46 reps, I was doing 60 last summer???

Thurs 7-17-08

Morning Pushups: 49,41,27

Pullups (Training Sets x9) RI:60s
- Overhand grip - pinkies touching
1 - 1 rep
2 - 1 rep
3 - 1 rep
4 - 1 rep
5 - 1 rep
6 - 1 rep
7 - 1 rep
8 - 1 rep
9 - 5 rep

The philosophy of the training sets was to guarantee that you finished all 9 sets, so I started with 1 rep only. I believe that 2 reps is were I should have set the rep count... next week..
