kinda ate more than i wanted/planned to tonight. i was starving and nothing seemed to kill the hunger. i used all my bonus points then some.
really though, to me this is just an indication that my calories are too low during the week while i'm training. now i know, and knowing's half the battle (GI Joe).

Was it hunger or the sweet tooth that drove you over the limit?

Don't worry about it. You still did really good this week. Your progress is not lost.
Up the calories a bit. Try again next week.

I agree with matt, some low cal, dense foods, like fat free or low-fat cottage cheese would be filling. That's often thrown out as one of the best bed-time snacks due to the high content of casein protein.

the plan
to succeed you need to have a plan to reach your goals right? well after my experience last week, here is my plan for this week.
i'm going to continue on with couting ww points to track my calories. i'm going to split up my bonus points equally through the week; no more "saving" 20pts for "treats" on the weekend. so each day i'm going to have my regular 20pts, plus 5 of my weekly 35 bonus points. on exercise days, i'll also use my exercise points. i'm still going to focus my points on fats and proteins, and use exercise points for carbs around my workout only.
so that's the plan for this week (which for me starts today).

Hi, just popping in to say hello! I am the Communications Director for our school division in Swift Current. So, I am not a teacher but working in education. Anyway, if you ever want to get rid of the boyfriend and make a fresh start you can always have a look at jobs here. As long as you don't mind the cold in the winter, the wind all year round and the scorching heat in the summer.
It looks like you are on track and planning for everything which can only mean one thing...success in the future.
Have a great weekend.

thanks for drawing my attention to possible job opportunities! i've tried the out west thing before. i moved out to calgary on a promise of a job from the school board there. anywho, that didn't fall through as they had promised it would so i ended up coming back home. for now i'm going to stay where i am. i've tried chasing jobs, and chasing bfs and niether has worked well for me. i seem to have greatest success here so here is where i'll stay.

I'll throw 2-3 cps into a hot bath and soak for 30 minutes or so.
Longer if you can stand the inactivity.
It's not a cure, though. It's a treatment. It speeds recovery, but it's not happening over night.
Another good trick is to be as mobile as possible. Some people have less DOMS if they do some cardio after the workout.
If you're brand new to lifting, you'll be sore awhile (I was sore for 2 weeks when I first started NROL), but you do adapt. Just keep at it, it gets better.

If I remember correctly, the magnesium in the epsom salts helps ease the inflammation in the muscles. Put a couple cups into into a nice hot tub and soak to your heart's content.

i didn't really make all the right nutrition choices on saturday. meals were good, it was my snacks that were not so great and centered around one main food: chocolate.... hmmmm... i need to find a more balanced way to enjoy the stuff so i don't overeat it in two days.
i'm getting a cold. this sucks the big one. hoping it will go away quick so i'm not too drained to teach and workout.
here's to hoping
