The NROL4W -- It's Vomitastic!
This should probably be my goal-post, but I don't have a ton of time, so I'm gonna break it down.
What hinders me most in my pursuit of fitness, is generally my kids sickness. The cycle seems to go something like this: working out goes great-> kid gets sick -> I can't go to the Y during the day, 'cause kid can't go nor do I feel like going after Dad gets home from work, so I don't go->kid gets well, but now I have ten thousand things to do that I couldn't do while Kid was sick, so my workout time gets filled. By this point, my progess/motivation is over and it's weeks and or months before I'm back at it. I don't really know what to do about this other than making sure the time off is as short as possible.
So, workouts will be from NROL4W. Nutrition will start there as well, but I have somethings to work on there too. From the book, I calced 1997 calories for non-workout days and 2264 for workout days, but today I ate 1600 and felt good. So, I am going to eat like this for the 4 weeks and see if I am making any progress.
I'll log today's workout in the next little bit...silly me, I copy/pasted too much from NROL and the workout seemed a bit out of kilter.
Pics again:
Stats again:
Age: 30
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 164.5 lbs
Chest: 36.5
Waist: 35
Hips: 42
Thigh: 24.5
Bicep: 11.25
Calf: 15

Hey Jamie! Just wanted to say, I'm glad you joined the challenge. Those stops are pretty tough and it's awfully hard to get going again. But, as long as you keep startin', then that's half the battle. Our stats are nearly identical...except for the age thing...I've got a few years on you. Best of luck. This should be good!

I'm with you Jamie ... the secret answer is ... TADA! You have to make time for yourself a priority!!!! Have you given thought to having a back-up modification plan for the days you can't get to the Y?

My back-up plan is to get my butt out tha do'! Even if it's after supper. And I have a jump rope. And if Samantha's the healthy one, I can challenge her on her new bike...me run, her bike. I tried this the other day in the wrong shoes and it was eye opening how fast she is!
I forgot to mention that I am going to be doing HIIT even in stage 1, because there's a rhythm to going to the Y everyday. The tricky thing is that i have to convince myself that it's worth it to use my "Mommy free" time on Tuesday and Thursday to exercise. I think I have myself convinced that I really am more productive in the gym for 20 minutes than whatever else I could come up with (laundry, dishes, general cleaning, etc).
Hey, I am lovin' you girls!!
p.s. we need a "feelin' da luv" emoticon!

I get the 'mommy free' time and thinking it should be spent . . . cleaning, cooking, and laundry egads. No way, take your mommy time and spend it getting the fab body you deserve!
You are gonna rock this challenge and end up younger!!

If she keeps getting younger she won't even be legal anymore. I hope she stops sometime before that.

I know you can't go to the Y if a kid is sick, but could you do some workout at home? We could workup a bodyweight or db complex that won't interfere with your NROL4W workout, if you want to. If you hit a day where you can't get to the gym, but need to workout, postpone the official workout and use the home workout(s).
Let me know.

I agree ... I'd be happy to help with this ... especially since I workout at home and I train clients at their homes (where they sometimes have minimal equipment).

Let me see what I can do, I really like the structure of getting to the Y (plus the fact that I get to be by myself on the way there and back! ) We've just gotten through two bouts of stomach virus so maybe we'll be well for a while.
But thanks dudes!
Today, I've gotten the kids to school, ran at the Y, and I am ready for the day.

Hi Jamie! Good luck balancing all your priorities! The meal looks good to me...hard to tell with out looking at it in the overall scheme of a day, and it depends on what you are wanting for carbs.
