Way to go, Jamie! Great workout!

I know what you mean about obstacles. We have been so sick this "sick season!" I just started Stage 2 Sunday and now my 11 year old is sick and I can feel it creeping up on me! Hope things stay steady with you!!

Mushrooms?? MUSHROOMS??!! Don't you read T-rag? One mushroom is all it takes and BAM! instant obesity! Next thing you know, you'll be scarfing tomatoes, too.

2.0 miles in 22 min 25 secs. 3 minutes of warm up, 8 minutes running at 5.7ish, walk a minute or two, running more at the same speed. Then the last minute I ran at 8.0 so that I could hit my 11 minute average/mile goal. Did that make any sense?

Definitely not HIIT, though there was high level of intensity and vomatastic-ness.

Good so far! Friday I did special workout A and Tuesday I did B...numbers are in the car for that one.

Kids have been sick, but we've been treating the symptoms and going on with life. The regimen has been Afrin, Mucinex Mini-melts, Tri-aminic at night and twice a day sinus washes. Samantha kinda likes the sinus washes...she's such a weird kid! Jack not so much, but he's learned Mommy's gonna do it anyway, so he might as well hush up and do his best to tolerate it.

The kids have both started at the Little Gym...pretty cute, but they don't have classes on the same day or at the same time. The only thing that makes this tolerable is that it's 2 secs from our Y so I try to strategically plan my w/o's around the time of class.

Thanks for checkin' in Julie. I can't wait to hear about your new plan!

I know I may have missed it but as far your goals go are you noticing any body comp changes by the end of stage 1. My beloved bride is about to start NROL4W and I'm trying to understand the speed of change.

That's a really good question and I think my answer is yes. I can see canges definitely, but the scale hasn't moved an inch. I would have liked to recomp AND have the scale move, but so far, no such luck.

A lot of it, I think, is Cass's take on nutrition...it's very moderate on calories 'cause she knows what doing an AC workout will cost you. So it's easy to follow, it's just not drastic (at least for me anyway).

Monthly pics are coming soon, so you can check it yourself whether you think I am recomping or not.

p.s. don't tell me if you don't think I am, 'cause RL has me convinced that it's noticable!

p.p.s The biggest, fastest change I can see is the weight I am able to move in the gym...and I LOVE that!

NROL4W, Stage 2-A1

Front Squat/Push Press 2x10x45
Step Up 1x10x50, 1x10x40
Dumbbell one point row 2x10x30
Static Lunge 2x10x25
Push up 2x10
Plank 2x60 secs
CHWC 2x10x30

I thought this would just be a play around kinda day, but when I got there I wanted to do the whole thing and the weights/movements felt good...so I did.

I will have to remember that on A days I need to do wall slides to counter balance the non-neutral grip shoulder work in the Push press.

And I need to figure out on the wood chops if it's (A) 1 set = 10 pulls per side or (B) 1 set = 5 pulls per side. What I did today was 10 pulls on the right side, rest, push up, rest, 10 pulls on the left side, rest, pushups.

My proudest moment was today when I could hold my plank for 60 secs. Yeah me!
