Yesterday's food- 2/3 serving of Cass' oatmeal with almonds
- Jason's deli turkey wrap, with one trip to the salad bar = spinach, peppers, cheese, apples, mushrooms, small bacon bits
- small salad with 1/2 can tuna
- 2 pork chops with apple sauce, small serving 3 bean salad
Today's food- Wilson's egg scramble with toast and low sugar jelly
- chicken slices with ww wheat thins
- slim fast post workout shake
- chicken sandwich...identical to Wednesday
- 1 cheese stick, sargentos spicey
- Mache salad and grilled tenderloin, for our anniversary
- 1/2 of some crazy chocolate cake, for our anniversary
Today's workout
Squats: set #1: 10@ 45 pause 5@ 45lbs, set #2: 5@ 45lbs, 10@ 10lbs
Pushups: set #1: 15 from knees, set #2: 8 from feet, 7 from knees
Seated Row: set #1: 15 @ 60, set #2: 10 @ 60, 5 @ 50
Step ups: 2x15@20
Prone jackknife: 2x8
I was in serious serious pain this week in my quads from the squats...way to heavy on the first trip to the gym, so you'll notice I was a bit more reasonable today. I had WAY better glute activation on both squats and step ups...YEAH! Pushups were another good thing: I've never even tried one "from the feet"...always assumed I couldn't do any, and to think that I got 8--WOW!
Ear filled up again today, and several times today my right eye ball flashed HOT and then it went away...WEIRD!
Hitting the sack...later taters!

Great workouts girl. Weird ear thingy... and eyeball flash, yikes. Glad it went away. When I get eyeball flashes I know I have a migraine brewing.
Hope you have an illness-free weekend for everyone!

We haven't been having enough problems with our books, and now you have to go and bend the pages...geez!!! Just kidding, Jules!
Jamie, your workouts and eats are looking really good. I suppose it's a good exercise to post meals, though I do record them in a journal, just not in my log. Maybe I should start doing that too. Great start, girl!!! You are the pushup queen!

Thanks Rebecca and "Victoria" .
Tracy, I figured if I wasn't going to count calories, which is waaaay too time consuming, I would at least list meals. We'll see how it goes.
And, I totally feel like you, Tracy, on the sushi thing...that doesn't even remotely sound interesting or tasty. Ewwww!
Rock on dudes!

I'm with Roland on this one. Because I live so far out in the boonies there are times I cannot (or don't wanna drive rather) go to the gym so I have devised workouts for home. I have only very basic stuff here to include a jump rope and a 15 lb db set and a pull up bar and a swiss ball. I can do a kick ass workout with bw and can do step ups, pull ups, push ups, prone jack knife, 1 leg squats, (working towards the pistol), and tabatas all day long. In fact some of my best workouts are in the home.
So do a little planning and next time baby gets sick try a different workout on for size even if it is cooler at the gym you might find this to be fun. Also if that really doesn't work for you try getting a yoga DVD or Pilates one and follow that for a day. Moving is moving and anything that keeps you from stopping completey should be better than nothing.
Good luck and remember that they do eventually grow up....

Let me know.

You know, Jill's pretend fitness boyfriend has a few tricks up his sleeve for home-style ass kicking... on those days when you can't make it to the Y.
Kick some tail, lady!

But thanks dudes!
Today, I've gotten the kids to school, ran at the Y, and I am ready for the day.

Saturday food:- Fiber One cereal (no protein powder)
- I avoided chick-a-lay with the family and opted for my ww chicken sandwich with peppers, mayo and mustard
- finished the second half of my Fri dessert
- 2-3 (can't remember) slices of thin crust, veggie lovers pizza with chicken
Sunday food:- Fiber one Cereal w/ protein powder and raisins
- 1 piece veggie pizza
- 1 turkey patty w/ ketchup mustard and steamed veggies
- 3/4 apple with peanut butter
- turkey burger out, with a few of Jack's french fries, a side salad, and 1/4 of a cookies and cream milk shake
So, as you can see, there wasn't much compliance with the NROL4W eating plan but I feel like I am continually making better and better choices on "family days."
Jack ran fever Friday night and has continued low grade fever for much of the weekend and his cough hasn't even remotely let up, but I am thinking that I am going to dope him up with Tylenol and Dimatapp and run to the Y and do my workout B...just not use my alloted 1.5 hours for showering and getting ready. And if I go in the late morning there won't be that many kids there and I won't feel so bad about spreading whatever germs he may have.

So, no workout this morning, but I am going to do my best to exercise, do swim lessons, and grocery shop all before supper time...wish me luck and no traffic. Oh yeah, I promised the kids we'd go to the park so we have to do that too!
Whew, everybody hang on!

I swear, Jamie -- you should just change that "Senior Member" tag to "Supermom." I don't know how you do it!
