Neener, neener, neener! I knew you were going to be lower than you thought. Yes! I am thrilled for you. Your new pictures look great.
(Lori also found out that she was shorter, LOL)

Leah, glad to see the results were better than you thought. Even though you're shorter than you thought .
I just spent half an hour reading the last few pages of your log just so I can find out which catalog people can order from without having to try things on. I know many of you will think I'm deranged, but I hate shopping, and I can't stand looking at myself in those three-way mirrors they have in stores . Even worse in things that don't fit and worst of all swimsuits ! Especially in the summer when I have to drag the kids along.

Now look what some hard data will do -- it's just all in finding the variables needed for the analysis.
You might be shorter, but I bet you're still a Short Man Magnet.

Thanks Ginger! That's funny about Lori. It just goes to show the height / weight charts don't take muscle into account, since now I am perilously close to overweight.

Thanks Karen - I hate those mirrors too, they are always so unflattering!

Maybe I'm just shrinking as I age.

Thanks Marty - I'm excited too. I'm taking kind of a long time to fill out all the papers she sent me, but I figure its pretty important.

Yeah, as I get shorter, the men will just get shorter too!
We were so tired and stressed last night we ended up skipping martial arts. I feel like I am trying to do to much, especially with cooking. For the nights we have class, I need to make something that takes 10 minutes or less, not 30. I used to eat black bean burgers constantly, but I ditched them because of the soy and trying to eat more protein. I think they are coming back.
Today's plan:
Breakfast: 1 slice pb toast
Morning snack: cottage cheese w/strawberries
Lunch: rotisserie chicken breast and broccoli & cauliflower
Afternoon snack: small frozen meal
Dinner: balsamic pork tenderloin, sauteed brussels sprouts and carrots
Pre/post workout shake
Hyp II C8 - I skipped the last leg workout so this will be the last one for this segment.

Can you make extras on other nights and freeze it for your busy nights?
And those black bean burgers sound YUMMY - beans are good for you! Do you make them yourself? And if so, can you post the recipe?

Ah hah! I knew your bf was lower than you were thinking. I mean LOOK at yourself sometimes girl. You have an awesome body already. You know we all have to learn to really love ourselves a bit more. This new finding should help you a little bit with the mental deamons that we all have because it confirms with science what we all see when we look at you. Your journey is a good one!

Thanks Karla-
It is very hard for me (probably anyone) to see myself objectively, especially after being heavy. Last week I wore shorts to martial arts class and I was shocked when I looked at my legs in the mirror. I thought those legs are not fat, they're just solid and strong.
I know its just a number but it did make me feel a lot more positive about myself to do the BodPod. Watching my weight creep up scares me, but this made me feel like I am right on track. We do all have to learn to love ourselves more!

Leah, knowing that your Bod Pod reading is 22.3% is good for all of us to know. This way, those of us using less accurate methods (ie caliper, Omron, etc) now KNOW what 22.3% looks like. So, now we can see that maybe what we *thought* was our BF is actually waaaay off when we compare to what we now know....you! I see BF readings all over the place on this board. You can find 5 people who say they are 25-27% BF and see quite lean people and people who are obviously still dealing with a lot of BF in their pics -- there's no way ALL of them have a body fat reading in the 25-27% range, for example. This tells me that BF readings just aren't accurate. Glad to have you and Ginger as guages now, for us to see the real deal!
I can't wait to get my Bod Pod done.
