Hey, send your DH over, please. Mine's never around when I'm doing squats. I have, however, ratcheted up the nagging as of today for him to build me a squat rack. I even printed out pics.

Whew! Good workout. Nutbar pestered me to be more anal in my reporting format So here was my workout this evening (sorry if I don't get all the abbreviations right):

10 minutes warm up on the elliptical

Deadlifts

5x150# remaining 7x110# then
12x90#
(I was curious after helping lift a woodstove a few years ago what a one rep max would be...obviously more than 150, but that's all the plates I have)

Supersets:

Dumbbell shoulder press
2x12x20#
Wide grip lat pulldown
12x2nd peg on the machine
12x3rd peg on the machine

Lunge
2x12x15#
Swissball crunch
2x10x25#

The lat pulldown surprised me that I could move up the weight as last time I felt maxed out on it. Gotta figure a way for more weight on the crunches. Maybe a feedsack or something, or try two plates next time. These were way too easy.

Nothing beats a home gym with a power rack.

Check out those DL numbers!!! I'm jealous that your job involves walking around in the woods Chris and I spend a fair amount of our free time on trails, but not on a daily basis by a long shot. I'm never more at peace than I am out there.

With the pulley station, it runs about $600-700, depending on where you go. I know bodybuilding.com or such has free shipping on it.

I'd get it if I had the space and my own place.

Back from our underprepared shopping adventure...we did get it all to fit without a pickup, barely. Ended up with a Sam's Club thing, Weider C725 I think it's called. Not top of the line but it'll do!

Is this it?

Sam's Club - Weider Club C725 Workout Station

That was the only thing that came up on a Sam's search for Weider C725 but I don't think you were looking for that type of contraption. You know I have to know exactly what you got!

Just for you Diane :P This is my latest two week average.

Average Cals
Total:
1811
Fat: 77 696 40%
Carbs: 140 490 28%
Protein: 140 560 32%
Alcohol: 2 16 1%

My weight has been stable to slightly up so I think I'm at maintenance level cals and can adjust from here as per the book recommendation. This has been a very strong plateau for me so I'm surprised that I didn't gain more on the extra calories.

Go, Susan, go! (And get that thing assembled already! Don't make me come up there and do it for you. You do NOT want to witness my anal self assembling something. )

Another B workout tonite. I also sat down with my brain turned on and a calculator and figured up my caloric needs/goals properly this time and will make that adjustment. I hope the scale will move accordingly.

Deadlifts

2x12x100

Shoulder press

2x12x20# dbs

Lat pulldown

2x12x3rd peg

Lunge

2x12x20#dbs

Swiss ball crunches

2x10x35

I tried the cable crunches and nearly caused myself a head injury doh! So went back to holding the weight and concentrating really hard on 'em and going slow.

Workout A tonite. Plus a bit on the end as I'm so ever-lovin' sick of this plateau that I'm just gonna kick it's azz and be done with it

10 minutes warm up on the elliptical

Squats

2x12x100# Hubster is starting to complain of being my squat rack. He's downstairs now assembling the one we bought *snicker*

Push up

2x12xBW on my knees, again. Yeah I know. I suck.

Seated row

8x6th peg till I lost form...4x5th peg
12x5th peg

Step up

I had been using 25# dumbbells for this but backed off in an effort to improve form

2x12x20#dbs

Prone jackknife

2x10xBW

14 minute HIIT from stage two on the elliptical
5 minute rest for the triglyceride flood
15 minutes steady state on the elliptical

And you can color my ass kicked. Whew. I added pb, honey and an extra scoop of whey to the PWO shake to make a meal replacement for supper cause the heck if I feel like cooking! LOL
