Just ordered a bench tonight. Should be here in a week or two! Woot! Clickypoo linkypoo. Got sucked into a bookstore again today. Funny how that happens to me. Was forced (by the evil book fairies, of course) to buy several books, among them Good Calories, Bad Calories. I'll start it as soon as I finish up TNT. Speaking of which, I'm gonna give TNT a whirl for the next month or three and see how I do. I'm only partially through the book right now but today was grocery-shopping day so I loaded up on what I thought TNT-friendly foods would be. Unless the authors take a U-turn halfway through the book, I should be in good shape to start.

My grandma used to have a pair of those silver plastic pants that she hooked up to the vacuum cleaner. They didn't work for her but she seemed to have fun trying anyway so go for it, I'd say.

Depends on what "enemy territory" turns out to be: The White House? Congress? Cleveland?

As long as it shrinks up the longer left boob to match the shorter right boob, I'll be golden. Or shiny (and possibly crinkly) at least. I'll take what I can get at this point.

I'll have to consult my marketing genius before releasing anymore videos of me doing.... things.

We must not have performed our Great Stingo-Summoning Ritual Dance heartily enough. Maybe if we did it in bubble wrap?

Basically you'll be having meat, fish, cheese, eggs, and green fibrous veggies - so if that's what you used to hide the box of snickers you'll be ok.

I've read Good Calories, Bad Calories. Lengthy as it is, it builds a good case for eating high protein/high fat so read it if you can
TNT seemed to have been great for dozens of people here, me included. I'm really thrilled to have my fruit back one day a week, though (I've changed plans this month). Good luck!

Grumble...grumble...grumble...
NR4W, Stage 1, Workout A, 8 of 8
Warmups: Basic various crap I've been doing, plus squat warmups of 5 x 45#, 5 x 65#, and 5 c 85#.
Squat: 3 x 8 x 95#.
Pushup: 1 x 8, 2 x 7, flat on floor.
Seated row: 3 x 8 x 130#.
Step up: 3 x 8 x 20# on 18" step.
Prone jackknife: 1 x 9, then switched to reverse crunches (butt & legs hanging over edge of bunkbed) for 1 x 6 and 2 x 15.
Notes:
1. My canned left foot is still sore but not too bad. It's mostly tight so I worked on stretching it out and warming it up pre-workout.
2. TNT is going well (other than #5 below), on my second day now, and I'm starting to get into the swing of things. I'm eating the same massive amounts of veggies as I used to but further upping the protein and really increasing my fat intake.
3. I'm tired as hell today. TNT warned this might happen in the beginning so that might be what's happening.
4. I woke up this morning with a massive crick in my neck that I've not been able to unkink. (Happens every time when the dog hogs my part of the bed.)
5. This whole Plan A with protein-only pre- and post-workout drinks ain't happening. I can't do regular protein drinks because I can't do artificial sweeteners. I tried mixing my unsweetened, unflavored whey with water. Gag. I tried mixing my unsweetened, unflavored whey with some foo foo berry (unsweetened) tea. Gag. I tried making a not-really-but-kinda-sorta-smoothie concoction (small amount of berries blended with whey and water). Gag. I was so sick to my stomach for the workout from drinking a total of maybe 1 cup of the above experiments. So sick. I have to come up with an acceptable solution for the pre- and post-workout protein drinks. Have to. (Yes, I'd like to keep it in drink form because I just can't handle "real" food before or after my workouts.)
6. I had to bail on the jackknives because I was going to puke so substituted the butt-hanging reverse crunches in order to keep down what little nasty pre-workout protein I had in me.
7. Squat form was okay today. Had a kiddo video me on a couple of sets and it looked okay considering how I was feeling. Still many smaller details to work on, though.

I didn't see anything in the book about working my gag muscles. I guess I've been slacking. Don't beat up on me too hard.
Seriously, does your food not accommodate any sugar/milk sustenance? Because I'm with you on the artificial sweetener and was thinking maybe a milk and honey mix. Or did I miss a lactose issue previously detailed?

Diane, I use Nitrean (also recommended in the book) for my PWO's. It tastes great!

1 tsp sugar = 4g carbs - you could probably do fine with that if you wanted to try it on for size. It's not exactly TNT perfect but it's probably in range. it's the unflavored part that would get me with the whey.
I've used flavorings from LorAnn with shakes for a long time - they aren't sweetened - In the past I used them with a vanilla (and sweetened) protein powder - but they also go well in my unflavored unsweetened whey if I use a little sweetener with it (I use liquid splenda but again - you might be fine with actual sugar).
I tried making up some of my unflavored unsweetened whey when I got it - worse than tasting formula -

I've been using a custom mix from trueprotein.com (I think alcoholiday has a discount code in his signature). It can be unsweetened if you order it that way.
As for the dancing, I did ask nice and all.
