Great idea!!!! If I had kids I would do that too
And I've been meaning to post about lack of resting between exercises too. I don't time my rest periods and I know they are way shorter than they're supposed to be... but hey, if we still feel like we're kicking ass and takin names it can't be tooo bad right?
Amazing workout as always!!

Maybe. But maybe if we actually took the full rest periods, we would be lifting even stronger? Our impatience is probably cheating us out of a better workout. *sigh*

I was actually going to mention that RE the rests. If you take your full rest, you'll be able to lift heavier silly girls. That will help you in the long run.

nice numbers, D. Although I can probably beat you in the DB snatch department BUT there's no way I can beat you in 'slapping together a low box for deficit deadlits' LOL!

Diane, on your bench presses, have you ever done them single arm?

DIY cloning. Next up (fitness equipment-wise) is probably the cable machine or even a back extension doohickey since I whined about the lack of one just today.

Yeah, I know. I get so revved up during workouts, I find it downright painful to sit still for any amount of time whatsoever. I'm working on it...

So you're saying you have a better snatch than me?

Nope, I don't think I ever have. I really love the one-arm, one-leg, anything-throwing-me-off-balance moves, though, so I bet I love it, too!

NR4W, Stage 3, Workout B, 1 of 4
Warmup: ADW from PBD and a few 15# RDL/BORs just to get familiar with that particular combo.
RDL/bent over row (BB): 1 x 6 x 105#, 2 x 6 x 115#.
Partial single leg squat (DBs): 1 x 6 x 5#e, 1 x 6 x 10#e, 1 x 6 x 22.5#e. These felt so wussy because they're only partials. I kept feeling like I was cheating. I'll have to really up the weight, I guess, or maybe just screw the partial and try for parallel? Did these on the floor this time but will try on the side of the step next time to feel the difference.
Wide grip lat pulldown: 1 x 6 x 120#, 1 x 6 x 125#, 1 x 6 x 130#, all on BowFlex. Will be switching these over to negative pull ups once we get the BowFlex moved out and the Orgasmatron moved in this weekend.
Back extension: 3 x 6 x BW on Swiss ball. I don't have a contraption for this and there was no way I would like doing prone cobras (the suggested alternative) twice in the same workouts so I used my ball. I positioned the ball way back under my hips and hooked my feet under the step (with weights on it to keep from lifting it up) and it did good!
YTWL (DBs): 1 x 6 x 5#e, 2 x 6 x 8#e. Here go the boobs vs. bench again. At least my boobs are shrinking on a daily basis...
Swissball crunch: 3 x 6 x 25# plate on chest with feet elevated on 18" step. I attempted a long-arm version of these with the 25# plate I already had and it was laughable. I might stick with this another time or two or I might just feel cocky enough to go with a lighter long-arm version next time. Doing long arm with elevated feet is so freaking hard!
Hip flexion (incline reverse crunch): 3 x 6 x BW.
Lateral flexion (Swissball side crunch): 3 x 6 x BW.
Prone cobra: 1 x 90 seconds, 1 x 120 seconds, 1 x 90 seconds. These are pretty easy for me (I wish planks were this easy!!) but so terribly boring!! So, hating to sit still and needing distraction to make it longer than a minute, I got the bright idea to set my iPhone on the floor and watch some music tubes. Bingo! First set was "Try a Little Tenderness" from "The Commitments" movie. Second set was The Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" -- one of my all-time favorite groups so I forgot to stop at 90 seconds. Third set was the "God is Trying to Tell You Something song clip from the movie "The Color Purple." This worked so well at distracting me that I'm going to try it for my next planks to see if it'll help them.
HIIT: Hill run for 4 intervals. I'd been doing 5 sets but the book said to back off one set for this time so I did. The driveway is still muddy from the recent rains, plus the millions of rocks and gulleys (from same rains), it was more of a run-leap-bound like a gazelle up the hill thing. LOL I felt so strong doing these! I was fast and very proud of myself for today's hill run improvements!
Notes:
1. I'm loving Stage 3 so far! Well, except for those stupid overhand DB squats.
2. A few days ago, I started taking vitamins again, as well as calcium/magnesium supps. Need to buy more fish oil as the ones I had have set for so long, the gel caps have merged into one giant smelly lump. Yum!
3. I've been doing more eats tweaking and I'm liking where I'm at right now.
4. Either due to #2, #3, or both, I'm finally beginning to feel stronger, more energetic, and just happier in general. Very cool to have my groove back.
Now I'm gonna go catch up with the board while I eat my freshly-made hot & sour soup. Oink!

Diane CONGRATULATIONS on finding the balance. This morning as I go through the logs I am finding a good number of people who are not yet at the balance place. Many of them are tanking out. My trainer told me that cutting is a "fine art" and in reading these logs I am starting to see what he means. You are doing the job of it very well on your own.

Sold the BowFlex today for the same $$ we paid for it a couple of years ago. Woot! And the Orgasmatron is now sitting proudly in its spot.

I am rather cocky about my snatch.

Yep, I agree. It's tough finding that balance and even more frustrating is the fact that the sweet spot is eternally moving. And I'm not aiming for anything even near perfection .
