Today's the second day that I'm not feeling like a complete wreck so I took a deep breath and did a small workout.

A7 (at home)
Squats with warm-ups:
1x6 40#
1x8 60#
2x8 70#
Push-ups 3x8 regular and slow ones
Bentover rows 3x8 50#
Step-up 3 x8 12# (higher step)
Plank 2x30 sec

Now, I wrote a week ago that it's time to get serious again about my diet - I'm eating way too many sweets lately - and never got to fixing that. I felt so miserable and so sorry for myself ...now I just have to wait for the picture day in total dismay...

looking good, Svet. Although your rapid weight loss looks a little alarming to me. Could be muscle mass loss. I know you were sick and all. Hope you get back to eating well and getting enough energy to bust it during the workouts.

Wow I've been MIA alright! Great to be back. I'm oficially done with my flu - and with bronchitis that followed; I'm also done with stage 1 - a bit disappointed, never made too much progress with heavier lifting and with the long breaks I was taking, every workout was like starting it all over again! I'm making a schedule for stage 2 now and putting every workout as an "appoitnment" I need to keep with myself, not to make any more excuses of having no time, being tired, taking care of my family etc. etc. The eating's been...different in the past three weeks. Carbs found their tricky way into my diet and I've been kind of lax with my eats overall...Don't want to feel too guilty about that though. I'm back to my TNT now, haven't gained too much weight back - I'm at 118 lb now, feeling good, got energy for the workouts and stuff...Life goes on!
Workout 1 stage 2 - it sucks lagging behind by the way but reading your thoughts on workouts and exercises and right form kinda gave me an idea on what to expect and I'm happy about that.

Front squat/push press 2 x 10 35#

Step up 2x10 17.5# each
Dumbell one-point row 2 X10 15#

Lunge rare foot elevated 2x 10 15#
Push-ups 2 x10 (regular)

Plank 1 x 60 sec
1 x 50 sec

Totally wiped out...

So glad to read you are finally feeling better, it sounds like you have just had an awful bout. Good for you for taking the time to recover and I'm happy to see you back to the workouts! Don't stress a bit about the time missed--that just gave us all a chance to catch up to your levels!
I hear you on the food, I've been struggling with U.F.O.s (unidentified food objects) ever since returning home. I decided today that I am usually so disciplined that if I'm allowing myself to cheat a little more, it's probably much needed and keeping me from going into TOTAL food free-fall. For me, back in the day, cheating used to involve 1/3 of the menu from Taco Bell, so it's kind of hard to beat myself up too much for indulging in a low-carb yogurt mixed with some Kashi cereal! I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

Keep taking care of yourself!

I think little cheats like these just help us maintain some sanity Whatever they say about adjusting and adaptation, dieting is not easy...*sigh*

Thanks Stingo! I'm really hoping to take my workouts up a notch this month. I've just blocked 3 hours on my calendar next week - short term commitments, baby steps lol

You know I am going to stand with Natalia on this one.... Make sure especially since you were sick to be feeding yourself. You don't need to be in a deficit too huge. You are loosing really quickly and you want to minimze muscle loss not to mention stay healthy.

Karla - I'm eating I swear I'm not even counting calories anymore. My weight was up and down a lot last month because of the stomach flu and then regular flu with fever and stuff. I'm working on it...Hate the thought of losing muscles!..

Thanks Diane!

Did the second workout in stage 2 today...wow. Does it have to be so hard? I'll be really lucky if I can walk tomorrow...

Deadlifts from the box
warm up 1 x 6 35#, 1x6 45#
2x10 55#

BSS 1x10 15# each dumbell
1x10 10# dumbells (took time to figure this one out!..)

Bentover row 2x10 45#

Reverse lunge with forward reach
1x10 15# each
1x10 10# each

Cuban snatch 2x10 5# each...(what's wrong with that!!!)

Crunches 2x15, reverse crunches 2x10, prone cobra 2x30 (there's no way I can take it to 60 right now!)

Did some stretching at the end.
I'm really scared of stage 3 now...everyone says it's even tougher! Jee...

You know, putting workouts on my calendar actually worked! I guess I just have this "have to" feeling about everything on my schedule...
3rd workout stage 2 today:

Front squat/push press 2 x 10 35#

Step up 2x10 15# each
Dumbell one-point row 2 X10 15#

Lunge rare foot elevated 2x 10 15#
Push-ups 2 x10 (regular)

Plank 1 x 60 sec
1 x 50 sec

Didn't increase any weights but I'm kinda getting some of the new moves down...even one point rows are quite ok now and I can tell the difference between lunges with elevated rear foot and BSS! Feel like a fre@king genius lol
