LOL - when I read your initial 'homework' comment, I wondered, "What am I missing from Leigh?" But I ask her so MANY questions, I'm guessing she's not assigning me homework.... rather it may feel like a test for her.

PS: Keep up your super-positive energy. It comes through in your posts and will serve you well to getting to your goals.

So you get some knowledge in addition to the physical benefits of your exercise. And, to quote Tolkein - not all who wander are lost.

The knowledge will get me through after I'm done working with her!! AND then maybe I can help someone else with what I've learned!! She's a wealth of info!!!

OH - BTW - I got an A+ on my homework!!!

Got my workout in for the day - it was aerobic day, so I did 49 mins of cardio kickboxing. Avg HR was 135.

Today is one of those days - I'm hungry, feeling a bit run down and kinda grumpy (I was nice and FOREWARNED my DH when he got home, so he knows up front!! ) I even got a decent night's sleep last night! Ah well, hope tomorrow is better!!

Thanks Tracey!!! Got a pretty decent night's sleep, so hopefully I'll be better today - it's early (7 AM) though, so only time will tell!!

I do, however, think I know what may have been one of the causes! I checked out my meal plan again, and realized that both my lunch and my afternoon snack had VERY LITTLE fat in them. I need to make sure I spread the fat around better through all of my meals next time!

Ahhhhhhhh.....the munchkin finally decided it was ok after all to take her nap!! I tried for over an hour to get her to sleep! At first, she wanted me to stay with her, then, she had to go potty, then, she finally calmed down enough for me to leave the room, but kept singing to herself! I think she finally just wore out! She's now sleeping peacefully!

I'm REALLY glad I re-arranged my schedule and made today a REST day!!!

Good for you for taking care of yourself. It's so important to get that rest. I'm so happy you're doing well with Leigh.

Geeeez - an afternoon without posting and I'm waaaay back on page 3!

Had a great time with my granddaughter yesterday - she's at that really fun age (almost 3) where you can have some fun conversations - and she has SUCH an imagination! She's hysterical!!

Glad it was a rest day - I was pretty NON-energetic all day. Today is a weight day, so it's higher cal/higher carb - and I'm feeling pretty good after eating breakfast. I'll get some more food in me at lunchtime, then get my workout in - should be ready to rock and roll by early afternoon!

Today's workout was:
(All for 3x15's, 75 sec rest between supersets)
A1 Squat 65lbs
A2 Face Pulls 25lbs

B1 Step Ups (no weight YET) - I did, however, add one more riser to the step, for a total of 7 risers. It's now right at knee height!
B2 Front Raise 10's

C1 Chest Flys on Ball 15's
C2 Standing Bicep Curls 12.5's for the first two sets, 15's for the last set - only got 13 of the 15 reps, tho!

Side Planks - I freakin' HATE these!!!!!!!!
I did 25 secs per side X3!!

Then, I did my flexibility/mobility work.

It's SNOWING here! We've got a couple inches on the ground - first real snow this year!!

Nice workout, Tracey!

Enjoy the snow. I am hearing rumors of a very cold weekend here and I am not looking forward to it. One. bit.

keep doing those icky planks. so good for so much of your body! Workouts are looking good. Those hungry days are hard. But, that means your body is burning stuff! And that's a good thing.

Well, what started out as about 3 inches of snow ended up as about 1 inch of slushy mess - the snow ended up turning to rain later in the day! YUCK!

I must be burning LOTS of stuff today - since I've been hungry pretty much ALLLL day long! Hot tea is helping.....a little.....

I really really don't like my rest days!! I only get 1300 cals, and only 10% carbs!!! Good thing tomorrow is my cheat day! I get to eat 1700 cals of WHATEVER I want!!!!

Now to just get through the rest of today......................... .

Hi, what's a face pull?

And what's this "only?" You went up in lbs AND almost same # of reps AND on last (not first) set. I think that calls for a YOU GO GIRL!

Hi Tracey. Does Leigh have you doing a calorie and protein cycling type diet?

After reading through the HELL program I decided to do something like that and I am doing pretty well. Unlike when I did WW and you are barely supposed to eat anything all the time, I tell myself, just get through today and you can eat more with your workout tomorrow.

I bet you are going to get super results. Keep up the good work!

She has me doing a calorie/carb cycling plan. Rest days are the toughest, since I only get 10% carbs that day - but the added fats help keep me from feeling toooo terribly hungry!

Week 3 Results are:

Weight is same as last week
Lost 2.75 inches
Bodyfat down .85%!!!!!

TOTAL SO FAR:
Weight is down 6.5 lbs
Lost 8.125 inches
Bodyfat down 2.00%!!!!!

Today is my first cheat day since starting the plan. While I have to stay within my calorie range (1700, since it's a weightlifting day), I can eat WHATEVER I want today! It's my Gram's 95th birthday this coming week, and we are celebrating today, so there will be cake and ice cream, for sure!!!

Just be sure to include some protein in that whatever so you'll do well in your workout.

1700 calories of cake and ice cream..... Enjoy!
