Our trip this weekend ain't lookin' so hot weather-wise! So far the forecast is showing a rainy weekend - ALL WEEKEND! Which means we will also have to cancel our motorcycle plans with my sis, uncle and some of his friends! BUMMER!!!

Maybe you'll get some unexpected sunshine. Yesterday was to be a complete washout and it was beautiful. Now it wasn't very warm, but it was dry.

We are currently debating whether or not to cancel the trip - I'd hate to go just SIT all weekend long. OTOH - the weather forecast for the past couple weekends has been rain, and we've ended up with some nice sunny days!! Decisions, decisions, decisions.........

Finally got around to taking some photos of our new "vacation home"!

And just for the heck of it, here's a couple pics of the back and side yard! It finally looks like spring around here - it's depressing when all the trees are bare!

Wow! That's the inside of a camper!? How nice! Though I don't know how anyone can drive one of those things, but all the same, it's very very nice!

We just hook it up to the truck and go!! Of course, DH does all the driving - I have yet to attempt to drive the truck with the camper attached!!! Guess it helps that the hubby has a Class C license and can drive the big rigs - so the camper is "easy" for him!

Damn, Tracey... how much gas does it take to haul a camper, LOL?!?! I don't know how people are doing the RV thing nowadays....

PS--I can't see your pics from work, so it may be a pop up camper for all I know.

It costs a LOT!!!! Most of our trips that we planned for this year are pretty close to home!! The truck will maybe get 8 or 9 mpg when hauling the camper . It's a 25 ft monster!!

Lately, since the price of gas just SUCKS, DH has been taking my car to work (I'm lucky enough to work from home) and leaving his truck here!! Saves us a little bit of $$$ so we can pay for our new toy!

Beautiful Tracey!!
There was an ad in our local bargain paper for a free popup camper -- "needs work"! We decided that since we only camp once a year, it wasn't worth taking on another project!!

DH and I both drive trucks ... mine is the SUV version (Ford Expedition) and his is an F-250 diesel crew cab (think full backseat like the one above). Gas is about $3.69 per gallon and I get about 11 mpg. Diesel here is over $4.50 per gallon and he gets about 16 mpg. UGH. It sickens me. What I wouldn't give for a Prius!!!
