Today's Workout
Sets: 4
Reps: 8
Rest: 45 secs between sets; 2 mins between exercises
Bent Over Rows 67lbs
Incline Chest Press 55lbs
Face Pulls 35lbs
Standing Neutral DB Press 15's ( will increase weight next time)
Standing Curls 41lbs
Tricep Extensions 32lbs ( used EZCurl bar)
Followed by
15 min light walk on the treadmill
Flexibility/mobility work
*I love those platemates!! I wanted to up the weights on my rows, but wasn't sure about 5 lbs, so I grabbed a couple 1lb platemates!
*I got 7 of my 8 reps on the last set of standing curls - just could NOT get that last one....NEXT TIME!!!
It's a GLORIOUS day today - too bad I had to work...same thing expected tomorrow - we may actually hit 80!!! Hope it lasts through the weekend - can't wait to get out on the bikes!!!
Speaking of bikes (actually talking bicycles now, not motorcycles!) we are going to dust off our bicycles that have been in the shed since we moved into this house over two years ago - time to get them out and put them to use!!!

If you guys don't mind my asking... how much does Leigh charge for doing training via email? If it's in the budget after I start my new job it's something I'd like to look into after NROL4W is over....

You have to let Leigh answer that because it depends on what you need and how detailed it will get. There are varying plans and prices and she's willing to modify and price accordingly to give you what you need and not charge you for what you don't.
What I will say is that she is worth it. And, unlike these ladies, I've probably made slower progress with Leigh - you gals are getting rip-roaring results right out of the gate! It took longer to get to the root of my issues.

Thanks, Kelly!
So today is a rest day for me, which also means low cal. I have my meals all planned out, and the chicken breasts are thawing. I need to figure out what to marinate them in!! We will DEFINATELY be putting them on the grill - it's going to be 80 degrees today!! WOOOHOOOO!!
I also have an appt this afternoon to get my hair cut - nothing new and different, just a trim, but it's been a while since I've had one - my hairdresser had an issue with her license - she graduated from a DE school, but works in a MD salon - well apparently that's a NO-NO in the eyes of the cosmetology board and they told her she wasn't allowed to work until she got the license transferred - poor girl was out of work for OVER A MONTH!!!!!

Got your messge Tracey, thanks! Once I start the new job (aka get some money in my bank account, haha!) I'll send her a message. That is if the boy doesn't mind... he's a trainer too, or used to be, but he's so busy with his doctorate program that he doesn't have time to train me, even by email, lol. So I'll have to kind of cross this bridge over the summer... possibly August time-frame? We shall see! Thanks though!!!

How about balsamic vinegar, oil, garlic, basil and hot pepper flakes?
I use that (minus the basil and oil) for pork tenderloin and it's really quite nice. I've also done lamb with oregano, lemon zest, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar and oil. The pork doesn't get the oil because I bake it. Although you might be able to drop it entirely.

I made a glaze from Cooking light last night - 2 tbsp maple syrup, 2 tbsp low sodium Soy Sauce 1/4 Tsp crushed red pepper. I doubled the recipe and added a clove of garlic. Then I warmed it up for about 15 minutes and after that turned up the heat so it could come to a boil. It was really delish over the meat.

YUMMMMY - they sound good!! I may go with the maple syrup one, since we have done one with balsamic before - I've never tried one with maple syrup!
Thanks for the ideas!!!!
