Here's a great blurb/primer on tea from Ryan Andrews of Precision Nutrition for you and all the other tea nuts. There are some recipes with even more ways to get tea into your diet at the end of the article. I've tried both of those (from GN, which is a great cookbook) and they are excellent. [If you aren't familiar with nutritionist John Berardi's forums or products, I very highly and without reservation recommend them. JB is super knowledgeable, cutting edge in his research, yet no-nonsense when it comes to his nutrition recommendations. Plus, he's an awfully nice guy in person. So.. now this has begun to sound like a sales pitch, which it's not.] Enjoy the article while you sip your tea.

PS: The other night, my wife and I went to a fundraiser for the Central Asia Institute founded by Greg Mortenson, the author of Three Cups of Tea. Of course, in the give-away bags at the table, along with the book were little pouches of loose leaf lemon sencha green tea, mint tea, and a chamomile (3 cups, get it?). So, I begged, borrowed and stole every one of those I could get and now I've got about 2 weeks worth of new stash. The only thing better than good quality sencha is good quality sencha that's free.
Ain't much better than FREE!!! Thanks for the tea article - more reasons for me to DRINK MORE TEA!!

Whereabouts in PA will you be, Karla?

Oh, well........no worries. You'll be better prepared for it next time. Doing 35 mins. of hard work is better than doing none at all. Right?

Which step workout were you doing? I think we have some of the same interests in DVDs......so, I'm just being nosey!

It was the StepWorks routine from Cathe's classic Cardio Hits DVD - one of my all-time favs! I'm a HUGE Cathe fan and have quite a collection!

Today's Workout
Sets: 4
Reps: 8
Rest: 45 secs between sets; 2 mins between exercises

Romanian Deadlift 110lbs
Step Ups 10lb db's - 7 risers
Swiss Ball Glute Raise
Foam Roller Crunch
Plank 2 mins 15 sec, 2 mins, 1 min 37 secs, 1 min 13 secs
Followed by
15 min light walk on the treadmill
.82 miles total
AVG HR: 109 (~61%)
Then, I did my flexibility/mobility work.

*My abs are T.O.A.S.T. after that!!!!

I'm likin' this upper/lower split!!

Tonight DH and I are going to dinner at Woody's Crab House again - the place where they throw brown paper on the table and you dig in!! I'm having a pile of steamed shrimp and some fresh steamed broccoli!! Funny thing is, DH and I won't be at the same table!! He's checking out the local Lions Club and that's where they meet for their twice a month dinner (lucky him!). Mom and Dad are coming up though and Dad will hang out with DH and Mom will hang out with me.

My Dad is a former District Governor in the Lions Club (one of them big wigs) so he's coming along to check out our local club!

Off to shower and get ready for some yummy seafood!

Ahhhhhhhhhh.........Another Cathe fan!!! I have soooooo many of her workouts but I gear mainly toward her weight work. Too bad I'm not using them....lol I do love, love, love Low Max. And the step in the 4 Day Split is just awesome and soooooo fun! So, I guess you can add me to the list of Cathe lovers! Are you tempted by her new STS system?

Great job on a tough workout today. I just ate an apple and am on my way to mine.

Hmmmm....I have the 4 Day Split (I did the pre-order) but I have never used it! I'm going to have to check out the step portion of it!

I thought about getting the new STS stuff - but I have so many of her workouts already, and have all the other "stuff" that I need - hard to justify buying ANOTHER DVD!! (But, knowing me....one day I'll buy it anyway!)
