Here is one of my all time fav stretches: Prone Glute Stretch
When I first started, my upper body was in an upright position (Much more upright than the guy in the photo!). Now that I've been doing it for a while, I can basically lay my upper body on the exercise mat and lay my head down!! DEFINATE improvements in range of motion!!!
I also do quad, calf, hamstring stretches, as well as bodyweight lunges and prisoner squats.

Oh Jane - that's TERRIBLE! I woulda been totally freaked out!! We never leave our first floor windows open. (except for the one in the kitchen, and since our house is built on a hill you can't reach it from the ground)

Your workouts have been KILLER! Your planks are awe-inspiring and I thought of you during my last hang-in-there seconds and you got me through!
I know just what you mean about the hunger thing! I think that's what was killing me all week, trying to get back into the low carb thing set off an avalanche of hunger! If you're still craving nuts, let me know--I've got a sister who keeps her husband's in a jar!
(hope she doesn't find this forum and read that! ) LOL

Well, Missy, you just need to get your priorities straight!
Seriously, good luck with the cravings. I go there almost every month!

I just want you to know I'm holding you fully responsible for the 80 bucks I spent at Teavana this afternoon. Just what I need, another reason to spend money. I'm enjoying a nice cup of Azteca Fire right now. Mmmmm...delicious.

WOW - you spent more than ME my first time at the store!!! I made sure to tell my DH since he gave me such a hard time about spending $50!!! Which other flavors did you get??
Well, I'm officially on a two week break from lifting. The past few weeks, I've been pretty much zombie-like, especially after workouts. They have really been taking a lot out of me! I knew it was getting bad when DH would come home from work, and the first thing out of his mouth when he walked in the door ( on more than one occassion) wasn't "Hi Honey, I'm home" but "Are you feeling ok? You look rough!" My answer was always "Yes dear, I'm fine - just tired!"
Some nutritional changes have also been made - I now get a bit more fat in my diet! YIPPPEE!! I was really starting to struggle with that. So Leigh made some changes, and for the next two weeks it's only intervals (4 days) and walking (2 days), with one complete rest day, which includes 1800 cals of WHATEVER I feel like eating!!
We also made a Chocolate Bean Cake yesterday - YUMMM YUMMMM and YUMMMMM is all I can say!!!

I got the Azteca Fire, Haute Chocolate, Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls (cha-ching), and Rooibos Tropica. I also got one of those individual Perfect Tea makers and some canisters. Yep...80 bucks. I'm such a sucker for the upsell too.

I just discovered there is a Teavana near me! I LOVE tea! Is it hard to get used to NOT having a tea bag?

I saw that....what about for work? Will it all be too cumbersome to do at work? I'm so used to just plopping a tea bag in my cup and heading to the hot water!

Hey Tracey-
I'm glad you're headed into some rest weeks. I know what you are saying about being tired. I've been feeling like, how much longer can I keep this up?
Hopefully with the break from weights and the nutritional changes you will feel better.

Hey Jane-
Tracey got me hooked on this stuff too!
Personally, I think this device could be more convenient because you dont have to fish the dripping tea bag out of your cup. You just set it on your cup and it drains the water out the bottom and then you dump the tea in the trash and rinse it out. I use mine daily. I guess for work it probably depends how nice of a lunch area you have set up. We don't have running water at my job, so it would be a pain, but if you have a sink, you're good.

I'm inspired to try the chocolate bean cake!
Glad to hear you're going to get some rest and get more fat in your diet. I bet that will help with your energy.
