Workout Summary: I’m only at the gym because the people who bought the house are doing their final inspection. Decided to make an even pair of Stage 6 workouts. That leaves 1 pair in this stage. Don’t know if I will be getting to it. We’ll see. Loved the workout. Sweat all the way throughout. Length great. Worked out w/o tiring myself out so have enough juice to complete move out tasks. Loving how my body is responding to me.

Workout Start Time: 6:33 p.m.
Workout Length: 51 min (includes 20-minute get someone to find me the glute-ham station in this gym and warm-up)

WARM-UP
Glute Activation
  • Side leg extensions: 10x each side. Done in place of X-band walks (forgot resistance band)
  • Prone Glute Activation: 15x L. side. 10x R. side.
  • Kneeling Straight-Leg Raise: 15x L. side. 10x R. side.
Bar Warm-Up (5 reps each, 45-lb bar except BW push-ups & side lunges)
Used Oly Bar from a bench press set up because both racks were being used (one actually used; other some MF playing)
  1. Sumo Squat
  2. Deadlifts
  3. Push Press
  4. Good Mornings
  5. Push-ups (30°)
  6. Shrugs
  7. Scap Pulls (Bar OH)
  8. Bent-Over Row
  9. Side Lunge (all R.; all L.)
WORKOUT: NROL4W Stage 6 WO B (MODIFIED)
Alternating Sets (4 sets x 4 reps)
A1. Reverse Lunge 1 DB Shoulder
4 sets x 4 reps x 32.5-lb DB

A2. DB 2-Point Row
4 sets x 4 reps x 32.5-lb DB

A3. DB Push Press
1 set x 4 reps x 25-lb DBs
2 sets x 4 reps x 27.5-lb DBs
1 set x 4 reps x 25-lb DBs

Notes:
A1. Reverse Lunge 1 DB Shoulder DB: on left shoulder harder to balance
A2. DB 2-Point Row: Could have increased weight
A3. DB Push Press: Could have done all sets using 27.5 DBs. Did not want to fatigue given moving activity to come.

Alternating Sets (3 sets x 4 reps)
B1. Back Extension
2 sets x 4 reps x 35-lb DB at chest
1 set x 4 reps x 45-lb Plate at chest

B2. Roman Chair Hanging Oblique Leg Raise (replaced incline reverse crunch) (protocol up L, down, up R, down = 1 rep)
3 sets x 4 reps x BW

Notes:
B1. Back Extension: Only used the 45-lb plate because someone left it on the side of the station. Weight was fine but would have been better to get 45-lb DB (had to keep turning plate to side to fully raise in order to get past station handles)

B2. Roman Chair Hanging Oblique Leg Raise: No holding on to the side. These are really easy, and I should add weight.
MUSIC: Sade Love Deluxe. Chosen at the last minute before going into the gym while in the car after writing out my workout log.

COOL DOWN: None

AFTERS: Bath and food (and glad I cooked last night & this morning). Coffee.

FEELING: L. upper trap. After a workout, this muscle always seem to feel like it could use a massage but doesn't hurt.

Oh, no, I've probably missed you by now. Hope you have a safe and wonderful journey! I didn't know you were making it by car (or at least is sounds that way to me from recent entries). If you are and you happen through my area, I'll buy ya some dinner/breakfast/whatever.

Default She's Alive

I don't currently have internet access, so I'm "borrowing" a connection at my sister's house. Don't know when I'll be back on, but want you to know I'm alive.

Here's the Reader's Digest Version of my travails (Girl=me):
  1. June 26: Girl up 36 hours packing U-haul trailer then 15 minutes before house handover tries to leave. Trailer comes off hitch. Girl gets no help from U-Haul, lots of concerned x-neighbors, and two non-helping real-estate agents trying to get girl to allow big brute neighbor to re-attach trailer. Girl in driveway for 2 hours. Girl crying into phone to husband. U-Haul attaches trailer. Girl goes to spend the night with x-neighbor. Girl moves trailer & is now scared of it. Gets up next morning and receives phone call from husband -- he's in Minneapolis and on his way to get girl.
  2. June 27: Husband arrives and immediately wants to hit road.
  3. June 30: Car coolant reservoir overheats in the mountains of Colorado and cracks. Husband does some Macgyver stuff with a plastic hanger -- we receive several offers of help and are told we have one more mountain to climb to get out of Colorado. The Macgyver stuff gets us 39 miles further down the road to Silverthorne Co (outlet town) but does have a car parts store. Husband buys a general purpose reservoir, car slows before some memorial tunnel, husband straightens hose, we conquer mountain & are on our way to Kansas.
  4. July 1: Right outside St. Louis, Girl & husband come to verbal blows over gas station stop. Back in car no talking.
  5. July 2: 1 a.m. Husband has girl drive to Mom's house & leaves. Girl is pondering whether she will be moving into this house.
  6. July 3: Non-peaceful back out of Mom's driveway (going to dealership to get Toyota reservoir) and back into a tree. Nice dent on side of car. Car 12 years old no scratches. Now L tailight & ghetto dent in side of car. While at dealership, Daughter (now in ATL for her new job -- son went with her in place of husband who came to rescue Mom) calls to say she's been in a car accident. Girl drops to squat & starts sobbing. Southern hospitality helps and comforts girl and calls her husband. He gets girl & asks her if she is moving into her house.
  7. July 4-7: Girl goes to cousin's family reunion. These last 4 days she's had more fattening food then she's probably had in a year. Explain to her how you can go to a Chinese buffet and have pig's feet, macaroni & cheese, and candied yams. In hog heaven, but really want to get back to my own routine. It's too hot for this heavy food.
  8. July 8: Papers signed go to new house. House has a main house and a mother-in-law quarters. Girl thinks house is lovely, and she is back in tune with her hubby.
  9. July 9: Every door has a security door & takes 4 locks before entry. Windows are painted shut & some have bars. Girl wonders how she ended up in an environment that's so locked up.
  10. July 10: Main house is relatively clean -- looks like hasn't been lived in so dirt, cobwebs, & little spiders in corners. Girl has been cleaning this house for 2 days. Washing down walls, blinds, etc. is taking longer than she expected. Then Girl has a Whatever Happened to Baby Jane moment in mother-in-law quarters. Not enthused to continue doing house cleaning.
  11. July 14: My sister has surgery so I hang out all day at the hospital -- had all 4 of my niece and nephews at the same time. I love being an auntie.
  12. July 16: Girl discovered what she thinks is peeling paint in the kitchen cabinets is actually old contact paper that needs to be removed.
  13. July 18: Girl is TIRED of discovering things. She has taken the last 2 days off.
In the in between time, I have finished NROL4W Stage 6 and today I did a very, very modified version of NROL4W Stage 7 (8 reps, 2 sets for all exercises and swapped bulgarian for the lunge rear-foot elevated). Have done some other stuff at home AND HAVE DANCED ON MY HARDWOOD FLOORS.

I have updated my signature to reflect my current mood and mission statement.

I miss you guys and wish I had time to reply to all but going home to cook my husband dinner.

I'm still going back to Portland Aug 1.

This food has not seemed to have a negative affect on my physique -- in fact I think I need to become more humble because if anything, I think I'm becoming vain. I can see my abs through my workout shirt.

Talk soon (hopefully).

Well, glad to hear that you're still alive, and (ummm) doing well. Looking forward to hearing more from you once you have internet access.

I was thrilled to see you back, and safe! Your adventure sounds... adventurous? WOW, Tracey, just WOW!
I hope you are well, and that you have successfully de-spidered your house.
Can't wait to hear more.
