And your cowboy hat and the cowboy boots you wear w/your suit to the office. I've watched Dallas. I know that's how y'all dress in Texas.
They perk is I get to pump gas out of the oil well in my backyard.
Don't you have a riot to attend or something.
With all the sibling squabbling out of the way and now that I've clearly lost I can say in good conscious that I don't own a cowboy hat. I don't currently own boots but I'm not opposed to them just for the reason above. You can wear them anywhere. They are the Texas version of the little black dress.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Sidonia - we're in the same weight range (give or take) and the planks pretty much defeat me as well. The best I can manage is about 20 secs on the floor, with about 30 secs on a 6" step. I suspect this is something I'll have to work on (but live with) until I'm a lot lighter.
Yeah...they are pretty tough...the problem is that the people who are usually doing them on the mats make 'em look so easy too! We'll get there...and it will be exciting when we do!!!!

Yeah...I've noticed that the butt up is easier...I prefer them butt down...I don't need to draw any more attention to my butt...J/K...I like doing them the hard way...I'm a glutton for punishment...

Thanks Paula! A minute sounds like a LOOOOONG time...but I know I'll get there...someday!!! And yikes...90 secs...30 was killing me...and once I did the 30...I couldn't do 30 again...lol...
shiiiiit.
So, the "150" in there isn't 150. Aoife no know how to add, apparently.
*sigh*
It was easier though, and I don't know if with my ab soreness today I could have easily DONE 150, so it's just as well.
Shoulders can't handle more than 25 yet. No big deal, like bench I'll just work on form and control till it's easy and the next bump can be done.
Crunches, planks, bridging all reduced for weirdly sore abs. Prolly all the planks lately.
That's all 8 reps on the YTWL... I just forgot to write it in, I guess.

I either have to up my activity or severely lower my calories at this rate. Right now i'm running about a 500 deficit, give or take. We'll see. *sigh*
Everyone starts somewhere. I think I started with the bar at 45#... but I've also always been kinda strong... lots of heavy lifting, just not in the gym.
It's taken me ... 4 years to get here from about 100 pounds with my highly inconsistent training.
I'm sure you'll progress much quicker. especially once you're not doing 15 reps. I can't do hardly any weight for 15...
well....
ok. So I decided to start adding in pullovers. This is a horribly difficult movement for me, and some of the source of my shoulder issues... from pullover extensions done a few years ago when randomly my shoulder started popping out. Now I can't close the sunroof without a lot of effort.
So I started easy, and had a step top above my head as a fail-safe (did these on the floor). Tough, but doable. Will slowly increase.
my benching is much more stable, better rom, and overall hella lot less scary (though still scary) so I might bump the weight for the first couple sets next time.

Good things about working out at home:
dancing between sets. not that I can't do that in the gym, but it's easier to cage dance in my own cage, which is shorter than the gym ones. and noone getting the wrong idea.
randomly doing weighted punches while laying down on the floor for no good reason other than it was a good song and dancing required getting offa the floor.
1/2 of my workout and all of my rest is under a wonderful ceiling fan that means I barely sweat till I leave the room.
kittehz luves me.
which can also be a bad thing.
flipper decided he needed attention during my second plank, nearly choking me with fluffy tail (he's a long hair tuxedo), and then completely got in the way of the moving arm with weight for the YTWLs causing an abort of the rest of the set for cuddling and petting purposes.
…yes, I could have shut the door, but he didn't come in till the end and I was done and didn't need to do the rest as I do them nearly every day.
...one's a runt...not photos of her yet...2 boys and 1 girl. That's Felix the orange tabby, Oscar in black and white. (like the odd couple) And the last one is Taboo...she's not in there tho.
They also like to play with daddy when he's using the foam roller...getting in his face and playing the game "have you seen my ass?"

Nothing like having the cat come over and flop down whilst you're doing a plank, putting his head on your hand, and then look at you as if to say "Well, whatthehell you waiting for, scratch my head."
