I grew up with "soda" and got laughed at mercilessly in college until I finally (3 semesters later) gave up and started saying "pop". That was more than 20 years ago. My DD went away to camp a couple of years ago and got tortured for calling it "pop".
Best solution? I don't drink soda or pop! Problem solved.
(Oh, since I won't give up cute purses/handbags, my 2cents: "Purse" = either shoulder or hand-bag. Shoulder bag can be worn on shoulder, handbag has to be carried or looped over the arm (not shoulder). Wallet is a wallet is a wallet.)
Yeah. When I first moved from CA to Michigan, I called everything a coke. It just didn't go over well here in the land of pop (pronounced paap here in the midwest). So I had to make the choice between calling it pop or calling it soda. I chose soda...and I'm sticking to it.
OMG.... someone has way too much time on their hands to put a tufte-esque type graph together for the Soda Vs. Pop controversy.

I bet it scares the snot out of Coke to have their brand name be a generic in 1/3 of the country. That brand is worth a fortune. Think what would happen if they lost that protection and anyone could call their drink a Coke.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
So grip was an issue, and straps failed to actually help. Whatever. So they were used for set #2 and then tossed aside.
Obviously, I don't get to bump deads next time. Military press will prolly stay the same as well, since I'm trying to walk the line between strengthening my shoulders and screwing them up again.
So, the pullups (feet on bench) are from the other day's workout I skipped. Skipped sun and mon, this is monday's workout, (pullups from sunday) and was supposed to be a rest day which was yesterday and so tomorrow I'm back to the bench. Yeah, like THAT was understandable. heh.
I really really really really really really really really really really really frickin hate YTWL... they make me want to puke. Always have. Prolly the belly on the ball, because it just ...bleah... hits me wrong. Also, there's a chance my plank was a minute longer, I kinda zoned and think I wasn't paying attention (I don't look till afterward and the amount of song that went by was a bunch, but since I can't prove it, I'm not gonna stick it up and then make myself beat it next time. I'm not that stupid.
OMG... The wii has me doing tricep extensions... with the remote. OOOOO... it's so haaard.... Maybe when I get good at it, I'll use my pink weights.
Yeah, I know you all wish you were cool like me and had a pair of pink 3pounders... for those fun and sexy kickbacks...

I hate the ball with the YTWL's too - it feels like it's pushing right into my stomach, and not in a good way! I should probably try them on an incline bench, but for some reason I haven't done that yet... oh yeah - cuz the back extension thingy is at the other end of the gym near the physioballs!
Have you weighed that wii remote? You'd better be careful - if you go any heavier you'll get too bulky

I KNOW. I'm very worried. Fortunately, the wiimote has the special rechargeable batteries in it, and therefore doesn't weigh much without the real batteries in it. It actually prolly weighs the same as the batteries I took out... so how much do 2 doubleAs weigh, anyway?
*laugh*
Granted, it doesn't require the wiimote to do the exercise, and it suggests once you get the form right to move on to water bottles. But I'm too scared. Maybe I'll drink the water first!
Oh, goodie, goodie, goodie. Can't wait to get to the triceps kickbacks on Wii Fit. Maybe I'll wear my pink leotards on honor of the day!! And man, I wish I'd bought leg warmers back in the 80s...sigh. One good thing about being older - you can have all the ghastliness from every decade in your memory banks...
Holy crap I'm sore. A measly 5 pound increase in deads shouldn't do that.
What concerns me is that 145 I had no trouble with and while I couldn't do 6 I could still do 5. The small increase came at a big cost... it seems. Maybe I just didn't have enough juice or something. hmm...
Eh... ok. Not too bad.
Couldn't push the last 2 benches, but that's ok, I was planning on keeping it at 30 anyway. Great feeling, not easy but not too tough on the shoulders.
situps and plank easy because I'm so damn sore from yesterday. Finally did my ytwl s on the bench (yay, we finally put together the incline bench, yay) and is MUCH better than the ball. Glute bridging will be moving on to single leg.
Oh, and if anyone is interested in the wii fit logs, they're up at werkit.com.
