it's been a while since there's been a workout in here…
tonite I finished my book cover, and headed in the other room to do a few things.
goblet squats 40#x15
db oh squats (2x12)#x10
db pullovers 8#x12
lying db tricep xtn 8#x10
db chest flye 8x10
lying straight leg raise
lying twists
all on floor, which limits my rom on my shoulders, thereby making me less paranoid they'll just randomly pop out.
nerve feedback been nearly constant, and that's not fun, but it's kinda weird cuz it takes away a certain amount of sensation with it's overload, and so when I'm lying down, i can't really feel the surface I'm on, and it's weirdly like floating. it's like vertigo, sorta. but not really.
went to doc to get meds for the migraines, which have subsided since finishing the play, but they do randomly pop up so I wanted something onhand since the percocet and vicodin weren't helping too much.
The book jacket:
hoping I don't have to run to Kinkos for it, and that it'll come out ok at home. *crossfingers*
I really like the cover. Many interesting things going on design-wise and yet it still looks like a real book cover and not a design assignment. Cool.
And it definitely fits the book. Nice work.

I ended up tweaking a few more things for readability before handing it in. Finalfinal was this:
Slight differences, but it helped a lot. Have 1 more thing that was brought up to fix before it goes in final portfolio, but overall is a great piece in person. hopefully I'll get it back after break (since it's wrapped around a the book I'd use for it) so that I can make a completely finished one. Might change paper too.
It slightly broke my heart to break the mask after making and painting it.
I like how you lightened the gray on the sides - definitely helps with readability. I didn't realize you actually made and broke the mask... wow... I thought it was a painting or computer graphic...
The background is a painting. the mask was sculpey. It was tough to break. literally. threw the fucker on the ground and watched it bounce. Then pics taken of both (the painting I happened to have around and am in the middle of, and it just happens to work for this) and photoshopped together. working on getting everything together to write up a blog post on it.
Pretty much everyone's looked fabu. Seriously. Someone else's is here. Sometimes people have off projects, but overall, most people's stuff is really good. All the books presented today looked better than all former covers of this book. There's been a lot. They all range from shit to crap. Too bad, this crap would sell, that other stuff is hard to call professional.
went to go get in another small light workout. ended non-fun
deadlft 2x8x135#
then I went to bench and the db slipped as I was raising and bashed into my shoulder, it's little hex corner hitting pretty hard, all 35# of it. So, now I'm getting a cat bath and hoping it won't need much more than just a bit of ice.
Going to see about going out and getting some, the ones I have so far are from inside because I no want to get dressed.
I have a postcard projeckt I'm starting, and so might as well use the time to start getting some images… snow pics are pretty rare down here in hell…
