I'm back up the 4 pounds (plus a couple) I lost during the first week. Been eating (pretty cleanly) like a madman. Even my alloted cheat days have been pretty clean. But, I don't see any difference in the mirror or in how my clothes are fitting. I am feeling pretty good though, so that's a plus... I guess.

I'm currently down about 6 lbs and 1 inch at the waist. Workouts have been very regular, eating not bad.

I'm pretty much as I was at the start, hence the change to TNT.

Hopefully I'll be out of Plan A in time for the Summit.......did someone say Waffle House.

I'm abusing my "I'm not worried about diet" month. Unfortunately I abused my work capacity as well. No big harm done on either front. I'm a little leaner (less bloat), some mild banged-upness that ought to heal well enough.

After admiring Bill's log from afar, I think I'm going to give x-fit a shot. It looks like fun, challenging, and not so much work that doing the extra stuff that comes up shouldn't be a big deal. Should be cool

Derailed by a cold bug this week, but I'll be back to the gym soon. Down one pound since last week.

I'm pretty much the same weight I was when I started but my clothes feel a little different but we'll see. No rush. Crossfit does sound kinda fun. Don't really know much about other than Bills' log.

I've put on some muscle, lost some fat. Nothing major yet. My break-in program for awesome people has worked nicely.

It's essentially GPP in a 3 on 1 off format.

Your next workout is a big mystery (unless you're a freak like me and go back and write down a previous months worth). You can argue that it's haphazard and be right because the WOD don't really have a pattern to them. That said you're consistently doing high rep compound movements, and every once in a while have strict strength days. Since it doesn't really claim to have a training goal, perhaps the haphazard doesn't really matter.

Shouldn't we wear the same thing we wore for the original pictures? If not then it might turn into a womanly thing where we have "nothing to wear" and need a new speedo for every month's picture.

Edit: Feel free to trim/shave though, yeti.

I'll be nice to check in on everyone. This last month was a blur, what with all the new people and their workout logs. A little overwhelming on some days.

Hey! where’s all the 1st of the month updates? You know you guy’s aren’t gonna look any better AFTER the Superbowl parties tonight dontcha?

Alright then I’ll be one of the 1st.

All-in-all not a bad month. I dropped 8lbs, that a good thing. However most of that came off the first two weeks. I’ve only dropped a total of two more over the past two weeks. I have managed to maintain and maybe even slightly increase my LBM.

Stats:
Age: 50 (No change here)
Height: 6'1" (No change here either )
Weight: 213 lbs. (-8 lbs)
BF: 25% (3 site Caliper Method) (-2%)
BF: 25% (U.S Navy Method) (-1%)
Shoulders: 48.25" (-3/4”)
Chest: 43.25" (~ Even)
Biceps (unflexed): 12.75" / 14" (flexed) (~Even)
Waist: 42" (-1”)
Hips: 43" (-1”)
Thighs: 25.5" (Even)

I was wondering the same thing, Bob. Here I go...

Still 41 and 6'2"

Weight: 186 (-8)

Body fat%: not sure... stay tuned for an update.

R & L bicep: 13 3/8"
Chest: 41"
Waist (navel): 36 5/8"
Hips: 40"
R & L thigh: 22"
R &L calf: 14 3/4"

Don't get too hung up on the measurement changes... I have a feeling at least some of it's operator error.

Oh, yeah... sorry, I couldn't get the side shots right. The camera went a little nuts and it's either overexposed with flash, or way too underexposed without it. I'm still reading the manual and trying to figure it out.

Nice going Bill! I can see a definite difference in your waist. Keep up the good work.

Good bulk month apparently. Gained six pounds (as measured Friday at the YMCA) and only a half-inch on the waist (measured tonight after an epic Super Bowl display of gluttony), while adding almost two inches to my chest and a half-inch to my arms.

I wasn't necessarily trying to add a lot of mass but this was an interesting month. Who knew I could add muscle to my torso so quickly at this stage of the game? It was the hardest I've ever worked in the gym.

Two pounds, but what if you didn't count the weight of all that extra hair and beard... You're sandbagging, I can tell, Eric Bana in Munich.

Arm – 12.5” -.5
Chest – 40.5” +1.5
Waist – 33” -
Hips – 35” +.5
Thigh – 23” +.5
Calf – 14” -

Notes:
Pretty poor showing for month 1. I like my "come hither" look in the first new pic. Lack of progress was pretty well expected but it still hurts your feelings to see it. I guess that's the point of the pictures, huh? I'm up about 3lbs or so, not really sure what those pounds are. Perhaps a little buffet of gains\losses. My ass looks good, so that's cool. In all honesty, if I was a chick it'd have been an awesome month...bigger bust\thighs...hourglass...that 's what I'm talking about.

Adjustments:
Diet - I'm going to try a new thing that I just heard about..."portion control" for the next two months. Serious "I hate life" dieting for the final two.

Exercise - No change

Learnings in Month 1 - The TNT "E" plan granted me too much freedom to be compliant. It was hard to be good when I could be bad every day. The whole inch vs mile scenario.

Sorry man, you look like one of those old west pics of the outlaw that didn't get away. Just need two lawmen flanking you with their guns drawn to complete the pic.

You did lose some size though, that's apparent.

I like the side-by-side photos everyone is posting. Even though the measurements may not show improvement, I'm seeing the progress in everyone's photos.

For the upcoming month I need to crank up my off-day calisthenic routines and tweak my macro's a bit.

I'm looking forward to everyone's progress in March. The photos should be even more telling. I'll do the side-by-side thing next month too.

Best of luck to everyone!

I'm impressed that guys are adding over an inch to their chest in just a month. Unless that's moobs, very impressive. I can't seem to get those gains, that quickly.

Yeah, I could have lost 10lbs if I would have gone hairless....I wish I knew what Eric Bana in Munich meant, never saw the movie but I guess
I'll take it as a compliment.

Saw I good drop in weight from 1-1-08 to 1-7-08 (probably booze from New Years), but only a couple pounds since then.

I really don't see or feel much different. I know I need help on the nutrition, since I really have know idea what I am doing there. Need all the suggestions and help I can beg for there.

Plan to use Roland's TNT "hybrid" plan. Basically stay on plan A with a "cheat day" here and there and plan to add a few carbs into diet to keep the fiber intake higher.

Evidence that HGH does indeed work. I wonder if that explains the bacne as well.

For some reason photo cropping and resizing was just way beyond me after hosting a Super Bowl party with 10 adults and 7 kids.

On a strange note. I was 185 yesterday morning. Last night I had pizza, and not even that much of it. This morning, 191 (and .6). That's a lot of water weight for one pizza (linguica, sun dried tomato, and olives, btw).
