I feel like crap today. Have been asleep most of the day and went to bed early last night.

UGH I want this stuff GONE.

Talked to Bob last night. It doesn't sound good for Bob's dad. I haven't heard anything today from him (but then I've been asleep the majority of the day).

I especially like the 80's fonda-esque slouch socks with stilettos. I would twist my ankle and bust my ass.

I just posted this down in the Women's Challenge thread, but I'm gonna post it here too.

I'm really tired of feeling sick. Yesterday was 4 weeks to the day that I first came down with the crud and it's incredibly frustrating to me that I want to back on track and can't work out. Everytime I am close to feeling better I end up feeling like crap again. I spent the better part of today in bed again sleeping. And I've been crying on and off this evening because I'm tired of being sick.

I want this stuff done and over with.

I'm sorry you've had such bad luck with being sick recently... don't worry, it can only get better, ya know? And that video is hysterical btw :-)

Hang in there friend. I know a bunch of folks who suffered for weeks on end with this. It does eventually heal.

That video is hysterical... but I wish your sickies would go away!!!!!!

Maybe try some of the soup I always eat when I'm sick?

Have about 1 1/2 cups of cooked brown rice ready. Peel and mince a head of garlic and one onion. Saute in a little olive oil until the onion is translucent. Add 6 cups of veg stock (or use chicken broth if that's what you have) and the rice. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add 1 tbsp of miso, 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, and 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley. (Fresh is important - loads of vit c.)

That's it. Pretty easy, tastes great, always helps me. I assume you could add some cooked diced chicken if you felt the desire.

This flu season has already been insane. Little Jack has been running fever for three days. Again. That gives him two illnesses in 2008, his sister has had two, and Jamie's been sick as well. Both her parents have been sick. That 5 out of 6 people, with me the only one dodging it so far.

Sorry about how long it's kept you down.

Thanks everyone.... I'm usually pretty upbeat about stuff, but yesterday was just the last straw.

RL: I hope Jamie, her parents, and the little ones get better soon. This is really insane. I've never seen anything like this that just doesn't let go.

Karla and Kara:
That's pretty much what everyone is telling me about this

Gizzy:
I don't think I've ever had Miso before.... can I use wasabi instead, I'm a big fan of hot - nothing like a good sweat to get things going.

And sweating last night is exactly what I did. I turned up the heat, turned on the electric mattress pad and sweat until I couldn't stand it any more. Have done this the last two nights and I feel better. I'll continue to do this for a while to see if I can't get things moving out again.

I really want to workout tomorrow morning.

Back in a few with Measurments.... Not sure how I did it, but I'm down almost 4.5 inches all over.

Gym is re-opening tomorrow supposedly

They are still waiting on an inspection by the city. However they did let people go in and wander round today..... This is going to seriously rock. Some new weight equipment (new benches and such). All new Cardio equipment including spin bikes. Much More open. We won't feel like we are right on top of each other.
