I got some good sleep last night. I've got a head cold though. Simba is playing with a cap from one of my thumb drives and just being an all around spastic kitty. I think he's glad his people are home.

Geez... when I first started working at a bank 1985, we NEVER saw a created check. It was considered a ridiculously difficult way to scam a bank.
These days, with desktop publishing, they turn up frequently. Progress, I suppose.

The bank part of this whole mess was the easiest part. It was trying to figure out where I needed to make the freaking police report. The officer that finally took my report said that he figured I'd be back (the police department here says that because it's an internet thing, I should be reporting it to the town that the bank is situated in even though I live here kind of left me going WTF????)
My brain is still spinning from all of it. I think I might lift tonight though. I've got all this Thanksgiving food in my system and I need to do some stress release.

the good news is that the apartment people came and leveled my stove and fixed my burners so they are flat. YEAH!!!

I'm not so sure that's an indicator. I know that through an insane sense of responsibility I would go to work even when I wouldn't have done something fun (feeling the same way). Although lots of people I worked with might have been okay with the no voice thing.

I've been baching in tonight. Bob isn't in the mood to possibly catch my germs so I've been hanging out and working on the pictures web site and messing with the Movie Maker software and seeing how I can fix my videos that I keep turning sideways because I don't think about the fact that I'm not shooting photographs.

Shopping went okay today. I found two tops:
this one was $40 at Lane Bryant.
And I got one that is similar to the one below at Macys for just under $20.
I also went to Linen N Things and got a 10" Stainless Steel Emiral Fry Pan for $40 and got some bath salts at the Farmer's Market.
