Thanks all.

Weight is up this week (244). It's more than likely water retention because I've had a few drinks this weekend and we went out for Chinese food on Friday Night. But overall, inches are still being lost. I will be travelling to Northern California at some point this week.

Workout happened this evening. Numbers in parentheses are the counts for the work challenges.

I did the following in circuits

5x5xbw girlie pushups (40/100)
5x20xBW potato bag squats (180/250)
5x20xbw Crunches (210/1000)

Followed by 20 minutes on the Elliptical at level 6

Was excited on the squats because as I did them, I got lower to the point where I had my hands on the ground.

Feeling relatively good this morning despite a shitty night of sleep (could not get my brain turned off and nothing like family just to irritate the crap out of ya). I think part of last night's sleeping problem was that I got a lot of rest this weekend - Bob basically forced me to lay down and sleep friday night and said that he'd never seen me with black circles under my eyes. I slept 10 hours and then slept another 4 hours Saturday. Saturday night I was in bed by by midnight, asleep by 1 and slept until 9. So I got 8 hours.

Still waiting to hear on what the arrangements are so I can book flights for myself and my sister.

I'm glad to hear you're holding up, hon.

Yeah, my sleep sucks when I've rested too much and not done enough work to warrant more sleep, one of the many issues, and the brain running overtime doesn't help. I hope the coming days are better.

I don't think it'll hit me until I'm there that he's gone.

I did okay after the initial shock of the situation.

Flights are booked, I don't have to worry about that now. It cost me more to fly out of freaking Houston than it did to fly my sister out of Omaha

It still hasn't hit me, and my brother died 3 months ago. I still have him in Outlook and see his name every time I scroll through my contacts. If you find the secret to grasping this reality, please share.

Susan:

It took a good year for me to get used to the fact that my dad had passed. I had to remind myself that I couldn't pick up the phone and call him etc. It just takes time. Sucky answer I know but that's the reality.

Sadly, there is no secret. A very dear friend passed way 2 years ago - still have her on my MSN messenger, and even now it's still sad to know I'll never see her again, in life or on messenger.

Time seems to be the only reprieve. When you get to that point where you can finally think of them and smile again, it's an awesome feeling!

Keep hangin' in there Paula!! *HUGS*

I am working from home today. I went out and rode my bike for a little bit this morning. this is going to be one of those days where I get my exercise done in bits and pieces.

20 minutes on the bike. Check that off the olympic games list.
I'll finish up the Squats Task later this morning.
and I finished the swimming task last night so by the end of today, I'll be over the half way mark for a bronze medal

Not sure if you mentioned it before, but how is your Olympics set up - what are the criteria for bronze, silver, gold etc.
