I'm sure you'll lose lean mass too. You can't help that, and really you should. I mean, lean mass is just what's not fat. So as you get smaller you'll need less blood volume, less connective tissue for the less fat you'll have, etc… plus you'll need less muscle because you won't weigh as much. It's not a bad thing.
It's obvious that you're pushing through and fixing a lot of that psy stuff. I remember some of your first before/after pics and you just looked so much happier with yourself. It's a huge thing to push through and we all have it, just some of us not such obvious stuff. And it's amazing what the success of weightloss and getting through some of that does for a person. It's not that people are happier because they're thinner, although sure that's a component, but it's more that they've done the work inside so that they can successfully do the outside work, and that attitude and outlook and self-image does wonders.

Two points I notice that are very positive. One is that you notice your taste buds changing. This has happened with me too and it makes the craving thing nearly go away. It only happens though once there is a time period of consistent compliance.
The other is that you are addressing the emotional side of the picture. For me that happened as well and continues to happen. The vacation eating remarks I made really were about that. Happy emotions are emotions too. I always associate vacation and downtime with over-induldgence in foods and it appears many others do too. Just wrapping your head around the fact that these things are not necesarry for your true happiness goes a long way for us in reaching our fat loss goals.

Dolly is WAY south of here, but we are getting some pretty heavy rains bands coming in since we are on the dirty side of the storm.

I kinda like hurricane rain. When it's not close, but you still see banded clouds in the sky. (And don't have to be out driving with all the bad drivers out there. PPL so stupid.)

It was cool when I came into work this morning. The sun was just coming up and the clouds in the light were pretty spectacular.

Off to Bob's for the evening. I'm afraid if I stay here, I'm going to end up eating.

WOOOT!! rest day for me AND I just got out of my Mid Year Review. My boss is very happy with my work and is hoping that others in the group will follow my example and take ownership and learn about problems instead of passing them off to others.

Great review... raise coming?
I know, they probably only do that at the end of the year, but you can always hope.

Anne:
I got a pretty good raise at the beginning of the year so I probably won't get another one until the end of the year. I might get an additional bonus at some point though. But I have to say I love the company I work for. They are totally awesome!

I'm very happy. I think the ownership thing is the most important to him. He talked about how I look at problems and then learn about them so I have a better understanding of how to fix them. I think that aspect came from two things I did. We had a big powwow at the beginning of the year and came up of a list of postives and negatives. Almost all the negatives were related to communications with between our group members and between our clients and ourselves. So I decided that my personal project is to learn what everyone does and document the procedures associated with it. By the time I get done documenting everyone's procedures, I'll be the person in the department that can see the big picture.
The other thing I did was with the application rollout. I really made sure that our customers were well taken care of AND that the common issues got documented. I can't tell you how much I cringed when I was reviewing things and everything was on a "case-by-case" basis. Sorry but programs don't have that much variation in the problems that come up. The case by case basis is because no one bothered to really track the issues that were being taken care of.
