Just thought I'd say thank you for the flat out pizza idea. I did a test run tonight on a variation I'll call Indian pizza:
1 Flat Out Whole Wheat Wrap
60 g Wegmans Tomato Sauce
40 g Wegmans Plain Non Fat Yogurt
1/2 tsp Curry Powder
1/4 tsp Ginger Powder
1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1/8 tsp Ground Cardamom
The instructions are the same as the original, just that you can mix all the spices, the sauce and yogurt together, and use that as the topping. (I used the spices used in the Aloo Rajma recipe I use, so topping with potatoes and kidney beans would not be amiss.)

Hmmm will have to try that Tom. Tonight's dinner is a flat out with beans, taco meat and taco fixings.
Got home and the battery cover on the scale I bought is missing I will be taking it back tomorrow.

Thanks for the follow up Bytsi and sorry to hijack your log Paula....

Last bit of hijack unless I figure out where you moved this to its own thread
For me, eating at maintenance or below involves a lot of vigilance. It also means picking the healthier (clean or whatever) choices, which aren't always the ones I would love to eat. Sometimes I just want the bad-for-me cake, or to not think about how fattening that sauce might be for me... it's not about pigging out for the sake of pigging out - it's about trying very hard to NOT say "oh, I can't eat that because it's fattening" and just relaxing mentally...
Dunno if that makes sense, but... best I can do for now

We did an awesome dinner the other night, it was really YUM...I need to try some flat out pizzas...here was our recipe and pics!
You said you were going to get on the elliptical after dinner...you have one in your house? If you do...what kind is it...if you don't mind me asking?

Bob and I went together and got a New Balance Elliptical. IT still takes up space but it's not honking HUGE.
Elliptical did not get done. I promised Leigh pictures today, and I got them done.

Kudos to you Paula on the relaxing rejeuvenating vacation!!
For me, vacation is a time to relax ... be it mentally, physically, or diet-wise. I only go on vacation maybe one or two weekends per year ... and to haul my food scale and eat plain chicken breast and steamed veggies is just not going to happen on vacation. I generally gravitate toward healthier foods, but eating out at restaurants has all the hidden calories from the chef slathering on the oil before grilling the meat, etc. One or two or seven days off is not going to break a program, especially if it is planned. And the mental break is more than worth it.

Okay - With Leigh's permission, I'm going to participate in the Work Olympics that the Gym has set up. there's some pretty retarded goals on the sheet but some of them are okay.
the first few things are going to be circuits of so that I can reach X amount of reps per exercise.
Plan for this morning after I get my caliper measurements done.
5x5 Pushups
5x10 jumping jacks
5x20 crunches
5x10 body squats.
I'll be doing these circuit style and if I have left over time I will walk on the track and work on getting the laps done for that task.

Circuit training taxes mentally as well as physically. Good luck.

I made it through 3 circuits.
warmed up with 15 minutes on the Stationary bike (15/20 Minutes)
Did the following
3x5 Pushups (girl style) (15/100)
3x10 Jumping Jacks (30/500)
3x20 Crunches (60/100)
3x10 Body Squats (30/250)
Walked 2 miles around the track (11/11 Laps). All this took me an hour!
now I'm just waiting to see what my body comp is. And I did my BP while I was there. Lower number was a little high but nothing to worry about since I'd been walking around.

Please do Paula and I'll try to find it. I think it is a GREAT discussion topic. I am a little bit surprised to hear that you and Bytsi are eating foods that you do not like as much as others in order to eat healthy and would love to understand this more.
