Finished yesterday at just over 1700 calories. I don't have the exact numbers since that's on the desktop at home and I'm on my work laptop and on my way into the office.
Weight is trending downwards!!!! I have a rough estimate where I'm at, but nothing is official until I weigh in at Bob's on Sunday Morning.

yeah. It means I've got my freaking diet under control. The hard part is going to be next week when I travel for 3 days. and then do that again a week later. Hopefully once this month is over, I won't be travelling quite so much.

Yay for downward trends!!! Awesome, Paula!
Travelling while watching the food is so hard. I would so rather be home! It sounds like you're really good about checking out menus and stuff online before you go. Are you at least going anywhere fun?

Well as near as I can figure.. I've done almost 1800 calories worth of damage today.
I have no clue as to what the macros are because I haven't been able to find them for the sushi although I did find a book at Barnes and Noble that had a few calorie counts for different types of sushi in it so I am basing on that.
Food looked like this
Egg McMuffin sans the cheese and a medium coffee with cream.
Chicken Breast, apple, laughing cow cheese, another coffee with creamer
Chicken with cauliflower florettes, broccoli florettes, celery sticks and baby carrots, more laughing cow cheese.
Chicken breast
Pumpkin/Oatmeal Pancake with a TBSP of Peanut Butter
3 pieces of a California roll, 6 pieces of cucumber roll, 1 salmon sushi, half a red snapper sushi (surprisingly while I don't like cooked salmon, I didn't mind it at all in sushi. I also ordered a Cajun Roll. Unfortunately the Crawfish were fried. I had two pieces of that and Bob had the rest. I have to say the Cajun Roll was kind of pretty. It had sprouts of some sort standing up on two of the pieces and it looked like a delicate little forest.

Okay, I know I'm a bit off my rocker but I swear I can smell your avatar pic right now. I can actually smell it.
I gotta lay off the Elmer's.

Sushi has NO calories because it tastes so darn good
(ok, not really... it's logic like that that got me to where I am now, struggling to lose weight )
No sushi pr0n (oops I mean pics)?

WOW.... Smell-o-computer right here at JPs!!!!
Slept good last night.
Bob and I went to World Market (I picked up some laughing cow cheese and some screaming rooster sauce while I was there) and then we walked over to Barnes and Noble for a bit. I picked up two books - American Shaolin (which seemed really kind of interesting from the jacket blurb) and The Mistress' Daughter, which is the Memoir of a woman who was given up for adoption because her biological Mother is having an affair with older man. The book focuses on what happens when her biological parents come looking for her when she is in her 30s.

I wish i would have had the camera with me for the cajun roll. That was really pretty even if it was filled with fried meat to go with the rice. However Bob thinks I'm wonky enough with the camera without adding Food P0rn to the mix. Although he has seen the pictures of the various dishes that I've taken to post here and other places when I make a new recipe.
Weight was up a little this morning (I figure all the dang sodium from the soy sauce) but nothing outrageous.

OKay we are now on Day 6 of being compliant.
Calorie Compliance - Except for Monday, which was 2000 calories, the rest of the week has been between 1400-1800 calories. most calories have been around the 1500-1600 calorie days.
I've seen a steady downward trend this week - especially the last few days. I'm curious to see what Bob's scale says tomorrow morning. There's about a 5 lb difference from my scale to his, and since we've used his scale for the last year and half, I'll stick with his scale being the "true" weight. So Sundays are my official weighin while the rest of the week is for trending purposes (I just subtract 5 from my weigh and use that figure).
Exercise - Per Leigh, I'm focusing on diet more than exercise at this point.
Diet - With the calorie compliance, I've had to make shifts in my diet to get rid of the junk that I was overeating. SO I've really focused on two habits I'd redeveloped while I was sick earlier this year. Eating in the car and stopping at fast food restaurants. I fully admit that I was doing both on a really regular basis. The only time I did both of these habits this week is when I got an egg mcmuffin sans cheese on the way to work yesterday.
The other change I've made this week is cutting out artificial sweetners. After the episode last Saturday where I hurt after drinking a diet coke, I just decided it was time to ditch the sweetners. When I made the pancakes, I used Honey and Maple Syrup to sweeten them. And when I had my coffee this morning, I used some stevia. And I actually managed to over-sweeten my coffee with it. Which tells me that the artificial stuff was dulling my sense of taste to sweet.
So the experiment continues.

Great job on six days of being compliant!
I'm excited to hear what you think of The Mistress' Daughter. I read her novel This Book Can Save Your Life, and I hated it, but I heard an interview with her on NPR when she was promoting her memoir, and it sounded really interesting.

Great job on the compliance Paula! Doesn't it feel good to know how strong you are?

Very well done Paula!
On another forum I've started a compliance thread as this is what bogs me down most.. be compliant a few days and then blow it. To allow for occasional slips w/o getting too frustrated, I've got both daily and weekly targets. E.g. last night I went to a b-day and had some junkfood and underate protein. Not so much that I can't make up for it today, viz. up the protein & lower the calories.
It's fortunate (or not?) I'm almost a hermit and don't need to make really tough choices when away from home, but yet once again very revealing how hard it is to get enough protein in, when away from home and dependent on what others have to offer = virtually NO protein whatsoever.
It must be tough to have to travel often and bring your own food, but it can be done.. preparation is everything.
BTW, when we had a 2 week car holiday in France , we bought a cooler that works on the cigarette lighter plug in the car. You might want to look into this too if you have to drive so much/often?

I don't travel for work that often... and getting that on the airplane would be a nightmare. My dad had something similar in his truck though so I know exactly what you are talking about.
Official weigh in this morning came in at 261.4. I'm down 3 lbs from last week.
