I love Padre Island (and South Padre once you're away from the buildings). I spent a month there (two different winters) back when I worked for myself. The fellow I did most of my work for took a month off around Christmas so I did the same. Visited South Padre the first time on a driving around vacation, and then went back next year for a month. I know it pre-dates my digital camera though, so somewhere I'm sure I have some physical prints of the place.
I really just meant to say the pictures are lovely. It brought up memories of some great vacations.

Sorry RL, Not going to Little Rock. With the Software launch we are doing, it just wasn't feasible to go to LR.

I'd really like to do a week down here and just cover the whole stretch of Padre Island. I'd probably have to buy extra cards for the computer

Just coming here to ooh and ah at your beautiful pix.
Oh, and congrats on your ongoing wt loss. You're in a groove right now. How's the lifting?. I don't read much about it anymore:you were doing some lighter stuff to alleviate some aches & pains?

Espi:
Thanks.
Not much lifting the last couple of weeks because of having to travel with work. The hotel I was at last night had weight equipment but it was broken .
I've been doing a lot of cardio (walking with Bob) Now that I''ll be home a couple weeks, I'll do some lifting.

Love the pics! The boot is my favorite -- looks like around here. LOL We like to hang out boots on something upside down outside to get washed off in the rain plus it keeps the scorpions from making a home in there. Well, usually.

The Seagull was just a hoot to watch. We don't have that kind of gull around here so it was kind of interesting to see a new kind. I need to find my little foldout guide to texas wildlife to find out what kind of gull it was and to figure out what the other jellyfish was.
THis morning Bob called me out to his front yard. One of the Mississippi Red Ear Sliders (think turtle) from his pond was laying eggs. So I got pictures of her on the nest! I think there's a second nest not far from the clutch she laid this morning. So within the next 60-90 days we should have baby turtles emerging in his yard. When I was looking stuff up about them on Wikipedia, I learned I learned that you can't help the baby turtles by putting them in the water. They have to spend about 3 weeks above ground absorbing the yolk sac before they can be put in the water.
