Food today is 2500 calories. I may adjust this after I get a question answered by Cassandra.

Hi paula! It's really neat to see your lists of what you've accomplished each day. I hope you read over them with satisfaction!

Mel:
Thanks
Today has been a so so day. I'm feeling kind of spacy because I didn't sleep well last night.
I did finish the 3D Puzzle. 3d Puzzles are okay but I think I'll stick with 2d ones in the future.
Prepped a lot of food yesterday. It should get me through the week.
It's about time to head for home. Need to do Laundry this evening and get stuff together for tomorrow. And workout of course.

I don't understand what difference you see in the step-ups. I can't perceive any difference whatsover, except male model vs. female model! I'm doing my step-ups the same as I did in NROL -- on the weight bench.

They had an alternate version in NROL where you alternated the feet with each step.... I like the static ones much better.

OH! I never made it to the variation....I am still trying to master the static version that the model is doing in NROL/NROL4W! I can't imagine being able to concentrate for alternate legs -- I barely make it through each leg one at a time without losing it.

I once did 2x25 with the alternating leg scheme. 25 for each leg, each set. It took several minutes, and when I finished a trainer came over to me and said, "Good for you!".
I didn't feel like it was good at that point.
Glad Alwyn gave you something you like better now. He'll have enough evil up his sleeve later, I'm sure.

Wow, I go away for a few days and you already have 3 pages in your journal!! One thing that kept me inspired when I started the BFL program at over 300 pounds was the muscles I would have when the bodyfat went down. I am so glad that I lifted instead of doing just cardio. I just know that at the end of this challenge you will be doing the happy dance and we will be ducking at the amount of weights you are tossing around!

Day 7 - Complete
1. Gave a friend at work the copy of NROL4W I loaned her. Her hubby had been encouraging her, and it was just what she needed to see to want to start lifting. This felt really good.
2. got some work done at work on the manual I have due next week.
3. Started NROL4W Workouts. Here's to a kickass 6 months.
4. Ate on target for what I thought my calories should be. After getting some clarification from Cassandra, I'm going to be making some minor adjustments to the calories in my eating plan.
5. Off to bed a bit earlier than normal. WOrking on getting more sleep.

Found out this morning that due permitting issues with the City of Houston, the corporate gym isn't going to be opening until after the first of February. Looks like my 1 Arm DB rows are going to be a part of my program for a while.
And after getting clarification from Cassandra, I'm going to adjust my calories downward a bit. I need to run the numbers to find out exactly what those numbers will be. but I will be doing that sometime today.
Tonight is Drill/mobility flexibility night. This ought to make the boy laugh since he's never seen me do drills. he was laughing at me last night because I was cussing during the workout.
