One of my go-to snacks - a wedge of light laughing cow cheese (usually the garlic one!) and a serving of turkey pepperoni (about 17 slices) - BUT I put the pepperoni on a plate and microwave it for about a min - turns them into pepperoni "chips" that I then dip into the cheese wedge!!! And only about 100 calories!!!!

HMMMMM I haven't found the garlic laughing cow. I'll have to go scouting for that. I just like that the little wedges are premeasured for me.
What do the turkey Pepperoni Macros look like Tracey?
I was just over on Google and saw this

I'm not sure I'm digging the cream free coffee this morning. Oh well.... gotta suck it up if I am going to get where I need to go. Or as my brother says "Embrace the Suck"

I'm also trying the Google 15 App. It trends your weight based on the last two weeks. It's kind of cool.
|
It is cool, but I'm mad at my Google 15 - it's warning me that I'm going away from my goal . I know it was TTOTM, but still... how about a pep talk instead of a harsh warning

I got that warning this morning too Because I added my Sunday weight in. BUT that being said, I think I'd rather have it be real and warn me than be all mamby pamby and have the message get lost. Reality is not a bad thing.
I just threw away half my salad minus the protein. One of the lettuces in the mix was coming across tasting like sand or dirt. and I just couldn't stomach it. I'll figure that I threw 1/3 of the salad away and make up the calories for it with dinner. I hate when food doesn't turn out as planned.

I don't know what the heck I did differently last night when I was doing crunches, but I'm dying today.

Hey, thanks for letting me see inside your brain/ask questions as you make these changes!
I'm gonna see what that Google 15 is all about. A gal can never have too many graphs, pie charts, and spreadsheets.

Paula it has been awhile since I stopped in here. Glad to see that you have settled on a program for awhile. I had a blast watching Mel go through the HELL program and am definately looking forward to your sucess with it. So far it looks like you have a great start and attitude.
I always get the best food ideas from reading this log.

Thanks Karla:
For me, I'm more likely to stay compliant if I can work in foods that taste good and are healthy. If I can come up with or modify something so that it is healthy and good for me, I'm much more likely to stay on track because it makes me feel like I'm cheating even though I'm probably not. I end up not feeling deprived.

You're welcome Diane. Sometimes talking with y'all helps me to clarify stuff in my brain. I've had several AH-HA moments today between here and O2 and it's because we all support each other on this journey we are on.

Just got home a bit ago.... not digging that but it couldn't be helped. Rearranged some of my food for the day - I stopped on the way home and picked up some gulf shrimp for tomorrow and decided to have some tonight for dinner. So those are steaming now. WIll chop up some new potatoes here in a minute and put them in the oven to cook while I do Aerobic drills.
Mixed my PP with my yogurt so I have that taken care of before the workout. But it's not going to have a full 90 minutes to digest. Off to cook my dinner and then cardio.
