I don't see why you couldn't, but you'd probably need to put wax paper between the pancakes.

I made another batch during my cooking fest on Tuesday. I'm officially out of pumpkin.

2 cans of chickpeas (a.k.a. garbanzo beans) drained, reserve half a cup of liquid

Juice of 4 lemons
4 cloves of garlic (if I had to do this over again I'd roast these to mellow the flavor a bit)
3 TBSP Tahini
4 TBSP Olive Oil.

Dump chickpeas into food processor bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Whirr until you have a nice smooth consistency (you may have to stop and move things around a bit in the bowl a couple of times). I think it took about 3 minutes to get a nice consistency.
This looks easier than I thought it would be. We love hummus, especially served with some fresh roasted garlic, or diced toms & sliced jalapenos.

You eat some good stuff, Paula!

I'm back from my trip and trying to catch up. I think my boys would love those pancakes! Where do you get most of your recipes? I'm all over Tosca Reno's Clean Eating cookbook, and would love to know where to find more recipes like that.

I get them from a variety of places Susan. Some are over on the 02 Web Site, some from here (go down and check out the nutrition section) Some from other sites, and some from books. And in some cases, I just take a standard recipe and clean it up in terms of ingredients. But I've seen your menu choices and You've always been pretty wise overall I think (even when you are throwing a party).

Not much to report. Last night I started reading the e-book "The Unusual Athlete" that I got from Charles Staley's Web Site. Pretty interesting stuff and I've already started doing some of the paper exercises in it in terms of goal setting.

I left my wireless card here at work yesterday so no internet access when i got home. But I was tired and was in bed reading by 8 and asleep right around 9. I got up at 5 this morning. I've really been working on getting to bed at a more reasonable hour and getting between 7 and 8 hours of sleep.

Tonight I think I might go for a bike ride and do some more mag mob stuff.

Good for you on getting to bed early!!

I should've gone to bed at 9 but stayed up till 11:30. I did get to sleep in till 7:30, so I at least got 8 hours in...but somehow I still don't feel as rested when I get to bed after 10.

Getting enough sleep is a key to keeping my metabolism roaring... I tend to plateau when I'm sleep-deprived which apparently most women (particularly mothers) are. I know for me, I turn into the ogress of the South when I'm physically tired - even if I present a calm exterior it isn't without much restraint inwardly in dealing with my ogre-ly feelings and reactions. I am woman hear me ROAR takes on a whole new meaning.

It's almost like a conspiracy to keep employees fat. I know it isn't but it can work out that way.

Some people always need to express love/empathy/gratitude etc. with food. I know I used to do this as well.

They do the candy thing around here too. Interestingly it is always the females. And more interestingly they are always overweight. It is like they are sharing the opportunities to get large.

But the worst thing is "Doughnut Tuesdays" around here. They bring in literally hundreds of fresh doughnuts and bagels and cream cheese and they also have free pop to go with. Then we all sit at our desks all day. Hmmmm... Wonder why all the bellys are a hang'n out 'round here.

I think the thing that irriates me the most about this is that we have a corporate wellness program. And the thing that irritates me second most is that there is no damn suggestion box for the corporate wellness program.
