Reps go down Weights jump up!
Goal for all exercises except prone jackknifes is 3×10.
The Jackknifes are 3×12
Squats
WU
1x6x65
1×4x85
A1
3×10x115
B1 Pushups 45 degree angle
1x 6 x bw
1x 6 x bw (+2)
1x 9 x bw
B2 1 arm DB row (sub for seated row)
3×10 x 30(e)
Stepup
3 x 10 x BW (each leg) (Oh I thought I was gonna throw up after the first set - Note to self NO CAJUN FOOD on workout days ever again)
Getting much better at these and making sure that my front leg is doing all the lifting. When I do these, I put my arms at my sides, tighten up my core and my arms (Pretend I'm holding a heavy weight in my hands and keeping my arms stiff), and I'm a lot less likely to us my back foot because the front foot is much mroe stable.
Prone Jack Knife
1 x 12 (+2)
1 x 12 (+2)
1 x 12

OMG!! I can't believe you ate like that before a workout. I totally would have barfed. Nice job on this one though. It seems you are coming back strong.

Hey, great workout! Great to pay such attention to your step-ups--I was taking too much weight on them (20lbs) and have since refocused on form and took the weight way down (8lbs) and they are tougher then ever.

I had Red beans and rice and a salad for lunch. I didn't think it would be a problem.
I was miserable all afternoon.

I went to bed early last night. Bob and I went out for Greek Food last night. Greek food was good, but I felt like an overstuffed bake potato last night by the time I was done. Bob and I went to the bookstore and walked around last night.
The other thing I saw, and never expected to see in Houston Texas last night was a Hookah.
There was a little store near the book store and when we went in, it was sitting on top of one of the machines.
Off to a meeting in a bit.

Before I saw the pic I thought, "What do you mean you never see hookahs in Houston? Have you ever been at the corner of 59 and Hillcroft on a Friday night?"

Thanks
Okay I know I am getting stronger.
I just tried to do a full pushup in my office (I shut the door so my co-workers don't think I'm any more nuts than they alrealdy do)... I actually managed the negative part pretty well - I got to the bottom and was able to hold it. I just got stuck on the bottom.
Now I just gotta get past the stuck part and I will be push-up packing mama

Nice workouts, Paula! I am giggling at the hookah.
Congrats on your push up progress. I love that feeling!

Great to see you back in the swing of things! Grats on the push up progress. I would have had the same problem with the Cajun food.

Normally food doesn't bother me. I have had problems in the past with indian food but that is about it. But evidently cajun food is not on the list of foods that paula's tummy doesn't approves of (right up there with Coke Zero).
Posting this here as well as in the official women's challenge thread
Official Change in diet. Last year when I was consistently working out and consistently eating the same calorie amount every day, I did better. right now I don't seem to do well with cycling (the lower calorie days are setting off binges). So my plan it to take the total calories in a week that I am eating based on the figures in NROL and dividing them by 7. So the overall Net Calories will be the same, but I won't have to cycle calories.

Well, there's nothing wrong with getting back to something that worked for you, especially if your current plan makes you binge. Good luck, and thanks for stopping by my log

Sveta You are welcome. I've finally kind of gotten caught up and back in the flow after being sick.
Not much to report this morning. I'm having coffee eggs and toast while Bob is still snoozing. Then later on we are heading out to the San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas. I'll lift this afternoon

I think your change in diet plan sounds good. I understand exactly what you mean about the lower calorie days setting off binges. I often feel hungrier on the days I exercise less, it's like the workout catches up with me the next day. I might give that a try myself.

I've noticed the same thing myself. I'm not that hungry on workout days but could eat tons the days after! I've been tinkering with adjusting that myself.
