No workout today. I got back into the swing of things at the office after being off since Friday. I noticed my pants fit well and they were tight when I tried them on around Christmas. I am a little sore from yesterday’s workout, and it feels good. I really like TBT so far and TNT Plan A is pretty easy for me to follow. I am looking forward to moving to Plan B in the near future.

My goal is 175 lbs and a 32.5-inch waist by 3/14/2008.

Looks like you've got some concrete goals. Good program to get there.

Today's Workout

4 x 8's

Squats
Chin-Ups
Dumbbell Incline Bench Press
Dumbbell Standing Overhead Press (Military)
Calf Raises
Dumbbell Tricep Extensions

My wife took the soon to be 6 year old to her first Upwards Basketball Cheerleading practice so I had the 2 and 4 year olds watching a video while I worked out in the garage with the door open so I could check on them. That lasted long enough for me to finish the 4 sets of squats. The rest of the workout I tried to explain why Daddy couldn't answer their questions while he was lifting the big metal things, and refereeing between the two for who's turn it was to sit on the bench and hold the stop watch.

Really they were pretty good girls, and I had a great workout.

No workout today. At work today I noticed that my posture has improved, or it feels like it has anyway. I also have noticed some small changes in my arms, chest, and legs.

Today's Workout

3 x 15's

Stiff Leg Deadlift
Barbell Curls
Front Squats
Barbell Bent Over Row
Barbell Seated Overhead Press
Dumbbell Flat Bench Press

So I decided to take it easy today... Ha. I did get a nap this afternoon though and had a great workout.

I really like the program because I am a creature of habit and I end up doing the same lifts in the same order with the same sets and reps for too long. This program is forcing me to change it up every time I workout and I like that.

No workout today. I see our family doctor almost every Sunday, and last week he asked me if I had been losing weight. Today he told me I look like I lost more weight since last Sunday, and my wife told me that my arms look bigger.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am very pleased with my results so far. I have followed the TNT Plan A meal plans to the letter except for one meal on Christmas Eve. This is the end of my fourth week and I am starting Plan B on Tuesday, my first workout day next week.

I honestly have no desire to deviate from the meal plan and I really like that. I also have not missed a workout other than pushing a few back a day around the holidays, and I made those up over the following weekends.

My mini-goal for this week was to have my waist/abdomen measurement less than 36.5 inches to meet the less than 4 inches to lose requirement for Plan B and I just made it at 36.375 inches.

Current Stats (January 11, 2008)
Weight: 185 lbs
Waist: 36.375 in

Goal (March 14, 2008)
Weight: 175 lbs
Waist: 32.5 in

Today's Workout

2 x 18

Dumbbell Standing Overhead Press
Dumbbell Front Raise
Dumbbell Bent Over Row
Dumbell Incline Bench Press
Goblet Squats
Calf Raises

I moved my workout up a day because tomorrow is my oldest daughter's 6th birthday and we will probably take her and her sisters out to eat tomorrow night.

I started TNT Plan B by adding fruit punch Gatorade mix to my vanilla whey pre/post workout shakes and it was good. I sat down at the dinner table with my shaker full and the two older girls gave me a funny look and said, "What's that!?" Since they like Gatorade, it was pretty easy to explain.

How are you doing with your workouts? You've posted the exercises, but no opinions (unless they need to be censored of course).

I am loving the workouts. I have been pretty busy so just posting the routine without comments. I thought last week was going to be easy since I was only doing 2 sets of each exercise, but now I know if you use the right weight 2 sets can be tough and cause DOMS.

I had another person ask me if I had been losing weight yesterday. He said my face looked thinner so I’m still making progress in the right direction.

Today's Workout

2 x 8

Barbell Seated Overhead Press
Chin-ups
Deadlift
Dumbbell Incline Bench Press
Hammer Curls
Tricep Extensions

Today I felt great. My energy level has been high on TNT, but for some reason today I felt extra good. Maybe because I'm looking forward to a day off tomorrow.

I went to lunch with some of the people in my department today and I think they wanted me to cheat. They all looked at me funny when I ordered a grilled chicken ceasar salad. One guy asked me if I really enjoyed eating like that and I told him I will really enjoy it when I get on the scale in the morning.

The differences in my daily workouts is keeping me motivated and I am still seeing positive changes in my body.

Saturday 1/26/08 Workout

2 x 12

Goblet Squats
Straight Leg Deadlift
Upright Rows
Dumbbell Flat Bench Press
Dumbbell Curls
Close Grip Bench Press

Good workout and my chest is a little sore today. I had a cheat meal last night because my wife threw me a suprise birthday party, even after I told her not to. It was a nice party and the white gravy on the chicken fried steak was extra good. Back on track today though.

3 x 18

Goblet Squats
Dumbbell Standing Overhead Press
Dumbbell Incline Bench Press
Dumbbell Bent Over Row
Calf Raises
Hammer Curls

These high rep days are killing me. I'm looking forward to some 3 x 5's in a couple weeks. At least I know I'm getting a good workout because I feel like passing out.

Today's Workout

Sprints

5 x 20 yards
5 x 40 yards
3 x 60 yards

I decided to step it up a notch by adding three days of HIIT. I haven't run sprints in a long time so I started with a short session. I feel like I'm going to throw up, so I know I did it right.

I am going to stick to protein only before and after sprints and protein + carbs before and after weights. I will evaluate that after a few weeks and everything else will stay the same following the TNT diet.

I am still make progress toward my goal, even though it has slowed a bit. I am still moving in the right direction, and I know the sprints will speed up the process.

Today's Workout

3 x 12

Squats
Dumbbell Flat Bench Press
Barbell Bent Over Row
Dumbbell Standing Overhead Press
Dumbbell Lateral Raise
Calf Raise

The squats were fun after sprints yesterday. I took it a little easier on myself today after some pretty intense workouts earlier in the week.

Today's Workout

Sprints

5 x 20 yards
5 x 40 yards
3 x 60 yards

I kept the same sprint routine as Friday because my legs are still sore. I'll change it up a bit next time.

I had no problems passing on the brownies at the Super Bowl party yesterday. I just went back for more fajitas and sauage.
