So today I had an inservice at the pool. Two hours of general tom foolery in the water. Team bonding and such, capture the flag type stuff. After playing rugby for to many years though I think I'm a bit aggressive, I made one of the girls cry. Good cardio though.

I can't belive it is the end of April and freakn' snow is flying and its -12C outside. Despite this downword turn of events, 15 people showed up to the 0-1/2 marathon training run, myself included! I was so tired when I left work from nights I forgot my touqe and mitts so my ears and hands got a little chilly, but wearing layers I was actually too warm almost. Ran 1min Walk 2 min for 50 minutes or 3.5miles.

Tomorrow should be A2, but afterwork tomorrow I have to take a first aid recert in the morning till noon, so sleep might actually have to come first in those six hours before I go back to work.

So, should start logging again before the new contest. I only have access to high speed at work and painfully slow dial-up at home, so last challenge I couldn't get my picks up, but kept trying to do my thing.

Right now I've got ten weeks or so left until I run my first race ever, a 1/2 marathon in Victoria. Although I haven't been able to do all the runs do to work and life in general, I've been plugging away and trying to make it out when ever I can. I think I'm down about 15lbs from the start of the last challenge and I'm hoping to lose 30 lbs on this one.

What I need to change from last challenge:
-Log eating
-Plan to WO and follow through
-Quit being greedy and eating crap just cause other people are or its free

So after a long night of surfing the net and reading people's journals, I've decided that I should use this challenge to focus all my effort on fat lose and then I won't have my favorite excuse to eat. I'm not sure what plan to follow till mid October and I'm done running, but I know I need to eat a decent amount of carbs for that and might just work on tracking till then. After that I think I might try PSMF for the rest of the time. I should be able to do some light weights with it and keep up with my new goal of taking karate lessons and maybe yoga this fall. I'm looking for a wii fit to try the yoga at home with, and my golf team wants to try yoga together once golf season is over.

so ran 7min walk 1 x 6 the other day in the rain. You don't realize how much mud weighs till it is all stuck on the bottom of your runneers.

Today is an 8k and probably not much else in the two hrs between waking up and heading back to work.

Tommorrow I need to take pics and get them up for the challange and start tracking my intake. New potatoes are just fantastic though so won't be going low carb anytime soon.

So I've just spent half an hour trying to relearn how to post a photo. I can no longer call myself part of the computer generation as it made me feel like an idiot.

Still trying to get motivated these last few days. After two weeks of working nights all I could do was go home and sleep for ten hours, which left me with exactly 15min to shower and get my lunch together before leaving the house, so hopefully will make the run tomorrow.

Height-69"
weight- 213
Shoulders- 46
Chest 45/38
waist 36
bb 45
hips 45
thigh 28/29
calf 16/16.5
upper arm 13.5
fore arm 11.5

One last night of eating crap at work and then I need to put some effort into this challange.

So I need to change up my extra curricular activities I think. After getting of a week of nights I always have a golfing date with girlfriends in our regular league. Usually then I wake up in the late afternoon and end up on the golf course without having eaten anything for the last 18hrs, three beers later and it's all down hill. At least I don't eat much of anything while drinking or the next day, but I think I'm going to have to go on a no drinking streak. Expecially when golf is done next month the girls want to join a curling club women's night, which anyone who has ever been to a bonspeil knows is not a good environment for not drinking.

I'm still in the getting started stages. I've been tracking my eating, (I'm way to disorganized and too busy lately to transfer it to online) or maybe embaressed as it has not been great nutrition wise. I definately have been eating less though and trying to stop when I feel full and not snack when I'm not hungry. It helps that I have been working non-stop and my only two days off have been company events where I was more focused on the beveraging, and its been in the record high plus 30's lately. Anyway a couple days ago I was down 3lbs since the challange start, but I could have been dehydrated so no celebration yet.

I've fallen off the running wagon the last few weeks with all the work and the heat, so I need to start scheduling it again

Just wanted to pop in and say HI and good luck on the challenge!
I was totally the same way about food for years. My husband tried to get me to eat healthy and I just wanted what I wanted, you know! I didn't like being hungry! After probably 3 years of him fighting with me I started to change, (because I wanted to). He just wanted me to be healthy but I didn't see it that way. After I changed my lifestyle I still had bad days but they got fewer and far between. I can actually say now that I love my health food (seriously) and don't want junk anymore. It will get better just takes time. I love feeling healthy and full of energy (and strong). You will too! I hope I haven't rambled to much.

It also took me over an hour to figure out the pics.

Good luck!! I'll be watching your progress. Chime in on my log if you have time!

congrats on tracking your food - i think diet is the largest hurdle for most of us. and i find that posting my eats keeps me on track better - if i eat it, then i have to post it for everyone to see - makes me think twice!

cooler weather is sure to be here soon, so that ought to help with the running. good luck!

Okay so today I ran about 10km and I ate a massive amount of chinese food tonight at work.
Last weekend we hiked 50 km total roundtrip with heavy packs on.
Other then a little golf lately nothing else resembling exercise.
I'm not expecting much from this month's measurements.
