Sweet! I've not gotten past 90 so I'm like totally jealous (really, really, really crappy shoulders).

Happy New Year.

Ah, yes... 45# plates... Feeling like a big boy, but cuter and better smelling.

4 years of work has gotten me from 65 to 85, so I suppose anything is possible.

thanks mahler! I am really going to enjoy the next 6 months of hardcore weights ala cosgrove. maybe I will be able to do 135 in 6 months?? and then maybe even eventually bench my weight, which will hopefully settle around 145.

Good goals Wendy ... my bench is pathetic. I haven't even benched in so long because it always ends up hurting my shoulders. I am getting better with pushups ... and my shoulders are healthier than they've ever been, so maybe someday I'll get there too!!

Here is the side by side photo for you (also emailed you a copy) ...

Good luck Wendy! Hey, you've got very nice legs! Especially the calves. 105 bench is very impressive.

Nice work, Wendy! And that's a great bench. How long have you been lifting?

Tina

Wow!!! Huge congratulations on the 70lb weight loss. How long did it take you? I dropped 45 in the past 18 months and am down to the final 10 or so. It is a wonderful accomplishment.

Also on pressing that weight. Very impressive indeed. I can't wait until I am doing more lifting again.

jill, no way. 15 inch calves are plenty.

tina, I have been lifting out of NROL twice a week consistently since feb 07--I have been consistent, but honestly, not really pushing myself very hard. I am changing that since last week, I started NROL for women, and I am trying to push myself.

kfisher, it took me around 2 years to lose 50, and then another year to lose 20 more. if I lose 20 again this year, I will be very happy!

Congratulations on the benchpress Wendy! That is awesome! I have to agree with everyone regarding your calves, I can tell you are a runner. I just finished my first marathon in December and now I am trying to build some muscle (love not doing as much cardio! ). Anyway, I am finishing up Hypertrophy 1 (and then maybe 2), but I am going to follow your journal with anticipation for you to hit that 135 lb bench press!

I will be running 7 miles tomorrow with my group, and one of those miles will be an all out time trial. this will be my baseline. and in 6 months, I suspect I will be faster with some of this fat gone!!
