I forgot to add that the pullups are finally getting a little eaiser. Maybe I can add some weight to them in the next couple of workouts.

Well I have been back and forth to the doctor for the last week with my back issues. I got the green light to continue training but to elimate shrugs. I don't know if I should continue lifting or just take some time off and just consentrate on my back, ankle, and neck issues. I just don't know at the time being. Part of me wants to keep lifting and keep making gains but another part of me wants to put the lifting on hold and just do rehab, prehab, and mobility exercies and not worry about throwing my back out again lifting. Lifting is really losing its appeal to me or should I say the reward/risk factor is really putting doubt into my head about conituing to lift weights. I like the feeling of lifting weights but it is always in the back of my mind that I might hurt myself again in the process. It feels like I am in a crossroad in my fitness journey from going from a weight lifter to more of an active person not so much a gym rat. Anybody ever delt with this before? Any advice?

Has anybody ever dealt with anything like this before?

You might want to post this in the injury forum (if you've not done so already) so you'll have a better chance of getting one of the pros to answer.

I did man. I just don't know if it is realistic for me with all my back problems to ever be able to sustain a weight lifting program and get the kind of body I want.

You'd probably have to be more careful about what you did and how, but I'd imagine weight training would still be the way to go.
