Tough CB workouts! Good work there.

(And I will offer no comment whatsoever on the manscaping...)

Sunday 03/09/08

217 lbs

CB's Advanced Beach Body Workout

A1) Pull-ups BW 5/5/5/5/
A2) Good Morning 45 lbs 12/12/12
B1) Barbell Row135 lbs 8/8
B2) Reverse Grip Pull-downs 200 lbs 8/8/8/8
C1) V Grip Pull-downs 175 lbs 12/12/12
C2) Shrugs 135 lbs 12/12/12

A pretty easy workout except for the Barbell Rows. I strained something in my forearms doing Power Cleans over a month ago and these hurt like hell, so I bagged the last two sets. I came to my senses and didn't buy the "Tan in a Can" at Rite Aid and I've officially sworn off discussing "manscaping" on this forum. I'm sure there's a subforum over at T-Nation where we bodybuilders can discuss these things like adults.

Monday 03/10/08

216 lbs

CB's Advanced Beach Body Workout

A1) Seated Shoulder Press 95 lbs 8/8/8/8
A2) Rear Delt Raise 15 lbs DBs 12/12/12/12
B) Lateral Raise 20 lb DBs 8/8/8
C1) Decline Sit-up 25 lbs 20/20/20
C2) Side Bridge 15 sec each side BW/BW/BW
C3) Stability Ball Jackknife 12/12/12

Not much to say. A pretty easy workout tonight. Tomorrow is basketball, fifth workout day in a row. I usually take Wednesday off to recover, but we are going to DC for the weekend. Do I push through Wednesday and Thursday, seven consecutive days, knowing that I'll eat and drink too much when I'm away? The sensible guy on my right shoulder says rest a little and eat and drink in moderation this weekend. The crazy guy on my left shoulder says work hard, play hard. Go all out for the next three days and party like a rock star this weekend. Damn, I fell like Pinto in Animal House before he brought the mayor's daughter home in a shopping cart.

I had a great time on the Beach Body routine. It looks like you are mixing it up pretty well between weights and cardio. Work hard and play hard is my vote.

Classic movie moment there.

I'll echo a sentiment seen around this board - You can't outtrain a bad diet. So if you do party like a rock star, just be prepared to pay the piper once the music's done.

I'm not that Type A crazy. However.......two guys on the team just don't move. It makes for a long night. Thankfully the beer was cold after.

I believe that one night or even weekend won't kill you and while the paper may ask for payment it won't be much.
