Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
Post total reps from all 32 intervals to comments

Pull-ups 7/4/4/4/3/3/2/2 = 29 +4
Push-ups 20/14/10/9/6/5/7= 71 -1
Sit-ups 15/14/15/13/15/14/14/13 = 113 +3
Squats 15/15/15/13/13/12/13/14 = 110 +10
Total =323 +16 Compared to 01/05/08
+ 55 Compared to 11/23/07
This is an awesome workout... I think I'll try it this week, though I'm not allowed to do sit ups... maybe I'll do two sets of squats.

Bench Press -Singles 205/210/215/220/225
Deadlift -Singles 265/270/280/290/295 F

Just some heavy singles tonight. The 290 lb DL is a personal best....300 lbs can't be far away. I think that 225 lb BP may be a recent best. Like all men I know my best ever bench was 245 lbs in 1976. I'd like to beat that 32 years later. I didn't weigh myelf this morning after my recent Super Bowl debauchery. I will weigh, measure and report on Wednesday morning.

Wow. The Tabata SE has really improved, the benches look great, and congrats on the new PR of 290. You'll be able to beat your bench and DL PRs before long.

Basketball- 1:45 full court basketball. The herd is thinning, 20 guys tonight. No subs, no sitting, no bullshit.....just run all night. Good times. I'm still upset about my recent weight gain so no beer tonight. Damn it hurts to say that but a man has to sacrifice sometime.

Awwww don't fret too much, just go read Stingo's log, you'll get vicarious thrills about beer and good foodies there!!

Wish more women would get together to play basketball or some other type of sport, but no one I know does. This summer I'll join a baseball team for the first time in my life and see if I can actually connect the ball and bat!! Your workouts are spicy Bill!

Weight 216.5 lbs this morning. The scale is my friend again. I'd jumped on Monday morning, after the Super Bowl party, and saw 227 lbs. Luckily I didn't hit my head when I fell over. The world is fair again.

I'll take that as a compliment, I think.

Wednesday 02/06/08
216.5 lbs

Quote:
Push Jerk 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps
115/120/125/130/135/140/145lbs

I probably started out a little light here. I think I may have 10 more pounds in me.
More good news today.......I found a big forklift tire to hit with my grandfather's sledge hammer. It's a beauty, about 30" high, probably 14" wide and really thick and heavy. It's sturdy enough to stand up while you whack it. I whacked it pretty good too, 250 times. I think my forearms will give out before anything else. I have to find some different workouts. I'm thinking 1000 hits for time may be a pretty good finisher.

Good news on the weight loss!! It had to happen sooner or later -- you're doing the right things.

That tire & sledgehammer sounds fun!

Let's see....at a rate of one swing every two seconds that's 33:33 minutes of swinging. If that's your "finisher" your workouts aren't hard enough.

Congrats on the 290 DL pull!!! The big 300 isn't too far away.

How are you liking Crossfit - it doesn't look like you need to do any scaling/modifications - do you?

Darn engineer, let's not go bringing logic and mathematics into the conversation. Either I didn't do 250 whacks last night or I was so damn excited that I lost all track of time or I can whack real fast.

I like the diversity of the workouts best. I think i invented the term "Fitness ADD" on this forum. After three weeks on most regular programs I'm looking for something new. I approach these workouts as "little athletic events". I'm just a little competitive, so I enjoy comparing my times to others here and previous times I've put up.

As far as scaling, I can do most WODs as written unless the strength required is just nuts, like "Body Weight Bench Press" for reps. That being said, my 51 year old times aren't scaring anyone.

The neighbors haven't seen it yet. I may have to get some junk cars and a big ol' dog chained in the front yard to keep it company.

Bill.
Nice work on the singles. I think we are all in the same boat around this time of year on the weight thing. Just too much time being holed up inside. I can't wait for spring.
