So relative to your height, how high were your feet? Putting my toes on top of our 80 gallon water heater would put me just about vertical. Those decline pushups get harder has your feet get higher,You'll find they get harder with height, as more of the effort moves from the chest to the shoulders.

The heater is at about chin height. My best guess is that my body was at about a 70 degree angle. I had to bend my knees as I went up.

100 Pull-ups

Time 29:15

Damn my callouses hurt. Deadlifts yesterday, pull-ups today and my delicate, lady-like hands are sore. My pull-ups are pretty pathetic, a couple sets of 5s, but mostly 2s and 3s. If I wasn't so damn stuborn and needing some big guns to win this challenge, I'd have quit at 50.

No quitters, especially with all the ladies around cheering you on!! Hey, it was the crossfit site with those girls doing amazing things that got me back in the gym this year!! Your workouts are pretty awesome -- for a guy.

100 pullups are tough any way you slice it, Bill. Good job toughing them out.

Basketball-Five games, ten minutes each. All of those New Years resolvers plus a few of their friends were there. I can only hope that they loose their resolve or tear an ACL soon.

Good news this morning, 218.5 lbs. That's down 5.5 lbs this year and my before Christmas weight.

Thursday 01/17/07
219.5 lbs

For time:
50 Box jump, 24 inch box
50 Jumping pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood 10:30
Walking Lunge, 50 steps 12:45
50 Knees to elbows 20:15
50 Push press, 45 pounds
50 Back extensions 25:00
50 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball 30:00
50 Burpees
50 Double unders

Time 41:55

God Damn, that was hard. Only subs were 12 lb ball for "wall ball" and 100 jump ropes for "double unders". "Knees to elbows" and "Burpies" just killed me. Form was not pretty. There were some burpies where I got up one leg at a time. Chris, your time was fantastic, congratulations.

PS- I made my first "sweat angel" on the concrete floor tonight.

That's one helluva workout, Bill. Did you go thru them sequentially or randomly until you hit the 50 totals?

Straight through. It wouldn't be the same workout without the Burpies at the end.

Bill, congrats on even finishing that filthy thing! I'm pretty sure Chris made a sweat angel too because he had pieces of the floor stuck to him when he came upstairs

Nice job bill! That thing is brutal. Just getting through it is a massive feat.

And yes, I laid on the floor for at least 5 min.

Bill, I am a CrossFitter too! I don't go to the gym anymore because I can't afford it, but I went for a few months and now use the WOD to make my Thursday workouts for my teammates and me.

I haven't done a Filthy Fifty yet, but I did make up my own "300" awhile ago, and it was... fun.
