Mostly Harmless
I haven't done a log in a long time. As best I can remember the last one I did was with Roland and Tony. I've recently spent a lot of time in this sub forum and it reminded me how much I missed the daily interaction and accountability that comes from posting your work outs.
Here are the basics. I'm trying to get bigger. Ultimately, that has been my goal since I came to JP's about 3.5 years ago. Today I am am 2 lbs and 1.7% BF from my original goal weights. As with most goals once you get to the top you see a new mountain. I'll save that for the subject of another day.
I recently completed ABBH2 and had great results. My body really responded well. At the suggestion of several others I have continued down the Waterbury path doing Big Boy Basics out of MR. It's my first time through this program but it looks interesting.
Here is my first work out.
Big Boy Basics
Day 1 (Upper Body)
BB Bench Presses: 4 x 3 @ 155, 4 x 3 @ 160 R60s
Seated Rows: 4 x 3 @ 165, 4 x 3 @ 180 R60s
Pull-Ups: 6 x 3 @ BW +35, 2 x 3 @ BW +30, R60s
Standing Shoulder Presses: 8 x 3 @ 100 R60s
Comments: This was a long work out. There were 32 minutes of rest not counting work. I'll admit that I did no real warm up but I had to get home. It's a poor excuse but it's mine. Otherwise it was a lot of fun to push heavy things around. I'll dial in the weight so next week should be better.

Welcome back to the logs!
I've not seen that workout before, do you have a link I could check out?

Thanks for stopping by. I got the program from Muscle Revolution but there is a T-Nation article that you can read. The T-Nation Program is only slightly different than what is in the book.

Have you done this one on your log? I like seeing what others do on similar programs.

It took me 4 years to get here. I'm not saying anything. When I started this journey I was at 165 lbs, a large % of which was fat. My original goal was to lose the fat and replace it with 165 of muscle. 4 years later I sit at 162 and 11.6% BF. I've been as low as 138 (not pretty) before climbing to this point.

I am the most inflexible person you will meet. I need to do it but time always seems to be an issue.

I did do BBB, but before logs were so popular.
I remember L'ilJ did it. There were a few who did it when Chad's book first came out.

Good to see you logging this, Gabe.
In response to your question on my log, I'm doing the 'increase muscle mass and lose fat' option from pg192 of MR. I'll be omitting OSC as it may be abit too advanced for me at this stage so the plan will run - BBB,ABH,TTT X3 cycles. Takes me until the end of may (just in time for the Summit)

Same here, even when the person I'm comparing to is significantly stronger than I am. It's more about comparing notes to see where improvements and/or advantages can be made.

Thanks Roland. I'll go digging through her log.

Good to have you back logging here, Gabe. I will follow your progress to the original goal with interest. You're not that far away. I did some Waterbury stuff before starting BoM and enjoyed it. BBB was helpful.

Hey! Yeah, I did BBB (probably at the begginning of my log I should think). Chad's programs are good.
Glad to see you started a log again. Keep it going.

I've had good luck on Waterbury.
I've done ABBHI and II, Waterburry Method, and TBT all with good results. I am eating everything I can get my hands on. Not everything is clean but if you know how hard it is for me to gain weight you understand.

I got my day 2 work out in last night.
Day 2 (Lower Body)
BB Squats: 3 x 8 @ 145 90s
Reverse Crunch: 3 x 8 @ BW+10 60s
DB Deadlifts: 3 x 8 @ 65EH 60s
BB Roll Out: 3 x 8 @ BW 60s
Leg Press Calf Raises: 1 x 8 @ 90, 2 x 8 @ 90 60s
Overall it was horrible. I decided instead of braving the traffic on the way home I'd do it at the company gym. Bad idea. First they are moving locations on the complex so they were trying to pack everything. Second when I walked in there was actually a guy curling in the squat rack. I really needed it for squats. Lastly, the DB DL's were uncomfortable. The movement pattern didn't feel right. I got the work out in but it was not my best effort. I'll get em next time.
I'm probably going to take the weekend off and line everything up. I just got done with ABBH2 so a couple of days of healing won't hurt me.
