With the excpetion of high school, I didn't start working out until I turned 29 so you're probably not the worst one. I played Madden until I got NCAA this year. This is my first year with NCAA.

Yea I've worked out since I was 19, using the typical 5-day body part split and I had good progress with that, but this is the first time I've ever used a set program, it's great.

The program looks great. It looks like I could do it with some re-tooling for balance issues.

Come on Neil! The back of my legs are scrapped from the damn hack squats. Cut me some slack. Let me change the exercise.

The only complaint I have so far and Neil brought this up as well, is the time expense is wildly different from Work out A to B. One is at least 45 minutes with no warm up or stretching while the other is 25 minutes.

It may be minor but it's much easier on my life if things are consistent.

Gabe,
Hack Squats do have a high "suck" ratio.

Front Squats hit a lot of the same muscle groups.

Gosh...I hated hack squats. I posted about it in the Waterbury subforum. Chad said you could substitute for DB hack squats if you wanted. I had bruises on the back of my legs from those damn things. Putting my heels on some plates helped though.

No, I'm scared of you, Jill. You're from Detroit. I was talking to that slackass in Houston.

Every time I see this log's name I think it's "Mostly Hairless." Then I'm afraid to click on it, lest I be tainted.

Somebody just bumped that post. I'm going to try the plates before I give up. I'd rather have the scrapes on the back of my knees than the front so I'll stick with them for a little while longer.

I'll forgive you for not having sufficient reading comprehension skills and for not knowing great literature. It's still nice to have you stop by.

I had a great day at the gym today. Yesterday sucked. I was rushed for time and only got half way through it. The half I got through was weak and uninspiring. The positive was that I got four tickets to the Texans game yesterday and took my soon to his first pro football game. They were awesome seats.

I don't feel bad for not working out when it means that I got to do something higher on the priority list.

Today I spent a long time in the gym. I actually warmed up with some mobility drills and stretches. Then I did the days workout. When that was done I took a 10 minute break and finished the second half of the work out that I missed yesterday. It's getting late and I was up way to late last night at the game. I'll post the actual log in the morning.

You should go to the Texans' training facility and ask if you can lift with them.
