something MUST be wrong with my DL's. I hurt badly today ... not like sore from lifting, but like can barely sit or stand too long due to lower back pain. Started about an hour or so after DL's yesterday and got worse. Some better today. Ugh. I think I will take today off.
Finally had some improvement with the back - maybe 75% better. I worked out the past couple of days. Today, was partially a back day, and I felt some residual soreness. I am thinking I might have to get rid of deadlifts. I dunno yet. I hate getting down in my back. I'm too young for that!

Notes: Pretty good workout. I was actually excited about the BB Decline numbers for me. The most I have done in a while. pretty sure I could have done 225 if I had grabbed a spot. I think 205 or 215 is my PR from a few years back. Not sure.

Notes: Felt weaker than the last time I did this split. Could be the difference between lifting at 3 pm and 5:15 am, at least that's what I'll tell myself.
And the fact you can lift anything at 5:15 is pretty impressive in my book. I would be unable to lift myself out of bed!

There will be an entry on 1/8, right? Right? I sense an ass-kicking comin' on!

rob, you crack me up. But thanks for the movitation, I knew after my 3 day hiatus due to a kid not sleeping through the night, I wouldn't be able to skip again! So I made it up, but as you'll see below, there was no butt kicking. It was a tad lackluster, but I made it in there at least!
Notes: Not the greatest workout. I didn't get to finish my calves workout because a boot camp class descended into the lower body area of the weight room and took over. I was hacked, but smiled and moved outta the way.
The pullthroughs were a challenge; not sure I got the form totally right so kept on light weight. Still, my lower back - dang. Wondering if something is going on there. Frustrating!
Watch that you don't damage more than your back, man!
Good for you, Richie, getting going in the morning and getting 'er done. I know how challenging it is to find the time to work out when you have a young'un that's not sleeping throught the night!

Notes: Across the board, almost everything was lighter/less than the last time I did this split. Again, the early morning perhaps? I hadn't taken creatine in a couple of days, but not sure it would make that difference. I felt like I had a good workout, but the numbers do no reflect any progress.
3 out of 4 days there, Richie. Impressive. Nice consistency there! Your numbers are looking great too. (There ... I rescued you from page 3! )

Notes: No pain with deadlifts! Finally! Still a relatively light weight, but no pain. Had some tightness with pullthroughs so backed off, but getting better.
Sorry to hear about the migraine, Richie. Don't fret about the workout - you've been really consistent and you'll be back at it shortly. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Tricep Pressdown (different station and weights than normally use)
12 x 42.5 x 2
7 x 47.5 x 3
Hammer Curl
10 x 30e
9 x 30e
5 x 30e x 2
notes: Could have done more on Decline press but got nervous with no spotter (gym was totally dead at 5 am especially since it was raining). Kinda' wishing I have been tracking the + and - with my progress on weights in this log. I guess I could start.
