*I have felt like crap on and off all day. I think it is a combination of a tough workout yesterday, stress from upcoming exams and figuring out summer plans, and allergies. After studying all day I took a break and watched some NBA playoff stuff, then got myself so excited I decided to go and try my speed work at the track. I try to run around a 3 minute pace for all 4 800m attempts, the first one was a time I was shooting for. I rested then attempted the second one and about 200m in my body said ahhhh no thanks not today! I decided to be smart for once and pack up and go back to the dorm. Tomorrow I am suppose to have some ME lower work with squats, I am going to swap that for some volume work, one rep stuff at 80-85% of my max. Even that is assuming I feel better than today.

Interestingly enough though, the combination of acute affects on the immune system from workout routines, stresses, and allergies has got my brain asking some physiological questions. I realized today that I always get sick around final times.

Was going to do my 800m runs today, but when I got to the track they were being worked on. I thought about just going for a jog but decided to just go into the gym and work the bike for a little bit. I worked up to my max on the bike increasing the intensity every 30 seconds until I couldn't go any longer. Did some light ab stuff and body weight stuff just for effect. Back to studying now........

......exercise physiology exam is Friday. Took my sport nutrition exam today and think it went well. I really enjoyed that class.

Thought I would do an update.

Kind of between places right now. Spending a week at home, no gym to go to, but plenty of time to be physically active. Been doing some agility drills, body weight stuff, band stuff, and lifting heavy rocks and such in my yard. Gotta say, its a different type of workout and I have been exhausted by them so far!

Going back up to UCONN for a few days this weekend to move some stuff into the apartment I will be staying in for most of the summer. Will be able to go to the gym there and do some heavy lifting. Then I will be back home for a few days. Thennnnnnnn I will be back at UCONN for good and I can get back into WS4SB like I had been doing before

05/22

Still been working out in my backyard with rocks, tree limbs, agility drills, and long distance running. Also went deep sea fishing yesterday for about 10 hours which is a workout enough. Today I moved back into UCONN for the summer, so I have access to a gym again! I decided to workout before I moved all my shit into the new place so I didn't have my lifting journal, ipod, etc, it was all packed up.

heres what I did:

ME Lower

Deadlift
135x5
225x2
275x3
290x3
305x3
315x3
325x1

295x3

Bulgarian split squat
35x10
35x10
35x10

Leg curl machine
120x12
120x12
120x12

Heavy DB holds
-skipped this today, forearm got enough of a workout from fishing all day yesterday and have a bruise or two from all the heavy rocks and firewood I have been working on in the backyard workouts.

some ab stuff
