ME LOWER

*Ugh I felt pretty tired all day today but finally got myself to go to the gym around 7pm. In the middle of my workout I realized that I had what felt like a cold coming on, sneezing, runny nose, tired. It was affecting my workout so I stop, shot a few jumpers for a while and packed it up early.

The TNT is going pretty good. It hasn't even been a week yet though. The hardest part about low carbs for me is the drinks, all I drink now is water or diet sprite. I would love some orange juice or milk!

I am still doing the west side for skinny bastard program I was doing for the first few weeks of this log, but I am using all different (although similar) exericses now. It is a great program.
I am the first to admit that I focus too much on my lifting program and not enough on my diet. It feels great to be following a simple diet plan and also do a workout routine I enjoy. This is a tough time of the year for lifting/dieting for me. I got finals/projects/family birthdays/and holidays all mashed into a month. But we will see how things turn out

*Today was not a pretty gym day. I felt fairly healthy going in, so I am either still a little under the weather or feeling a little crappy from the TNT diet. I am concerned because in the past when I have dieted I feel like I end up where I was, weighing less and losing all the strength I earned over the last few months. I was hoping the TNT approach would help me not do this but I already feel like my strength gains are already being affected. Maybe I am just being a baby. I'm going to try hard this time to keep those gains, mainly by making sure I don't lose excessive weight quickly. It just sucks to see my numbers go down and I'm pissed!

Thanks! I would like to work in deadlifts. I will soon be home for a month from school which means a new place to workout. Always gets me fired up to workout at a different place. Not sure how to work those deads in though. I was thinking replace them where the front squats were, and throw the front squats in place of the walking lunges.

yea, you should make the deads variation your main movement, and then do accessory work from there. Very light front squats might be ok, but you might be tired from pulling. You could always do lunges or unilateral work after pulls if you feel masochistic

Nah I think I would rather go all out deadlift for the month I am home from school with front squats in the higher rep (8-12) range for 2-3 sets. Probably see where I am at when I go back to school and decide to either continue deadlifting or go back to squatting heavy or some other squat/dead variation.

Yesterday I went to gym to do my DE lower. Legs felt a little stiff even after some light dynamic stretching so I grabbed a basketball and tossed it around for a little while to loosen up. Eventually got asked to run some full court, ended up playing ball for an hour or two and leaving. If I have time later today I am going to try and get that DE lower I missed yesterday.

12/14

Went to the gym today to do my ME Lower. Felt like my legs were less than 100% then I remembered that I was a day off because I did my DE Lower on Wednesday. I decided I didnt like the idea of heavy squating on only 48 hours, if that, rest, so I just shot around and did some ab stuff instead.
