Soooo I was planning on a lunch workout today, but then I saw Crossfit's WOD.
"Linda"
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps of the triplet:
Deadlift: 1 1/2 body weight
Bench press: body weight
Clean: 3/4 body weight
Set up three bars and storm through for time.

Brutal! Not sure I can do a 2 workout day and still pull that off. Maybe I will go in and just mess around a bit.

I try to do a lunch workout 3-4 days a week. Its only like 20 min, 4 exercises, 2 supersets. Then I do crossfit 5 nights a week.

Usually it isn't bad. It only gets hairy when I have a heavy weight type workout to do on crossfit.

Well, no biggy on the lunch workout today. I had a meeting run late, and another one just after lunch, so I just passed it up. Now to try to tackle this monster....

Crossfit!

Warmup (uh...no)

"Linda"
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps of the triplet:
Deadlift: 1 1/2 body weight (305lbs)
Bench press: body weight (205lbs)
Clean: 3/4 body weight (155lbs)

Set up three bars and storm through for time.

Ok, I don't have 3 Olympic bars at home. I have 2 and an ezcurl bar. So rather than unload weights, I'm going to try to DL with the EZ, since that was the only one of the 3 that didn't just feel completely awkward. Hope this works!

Time: 52:17


My clean form just sucks, so I ended up just power cleaning most of the clean's.Even with this change I had to take very frequent breaks.

Ya know, for the last week or so, almost every workout I feel is the worst (from a pain angle) workout I've ever done. Reminds me of a movie...

Peter Gibbons: So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

yeah, it was pretty much the worse thing I've ever done with weights.

I left the house and went to w.o. at the gym instead so I didn't have to hear him torture himself. I was shocked when I got back and he was still going. Wow.

Thanks guys! I just wish I was lighter. I was reading some of the times that other people had and they were much better. However most of them were like 150-175lbs or they had to fudge the weight on one of their lifts.

Roland: On almost all of these, if you can do the lift 1 time, you can get through it. It's really a slog (as you can tell by my 52 min) but you just do what you can, then sit there till you have recovered enough to do 1 or 2 more. Mentally its a trial, but you will get through it.

You know whats weird about these workouts though? Often times you actually get BETTER as the rounds go on. A Couple examples:

The Bench press yesterday. I got 6 on the first set before I had to break, 7 on the second, then got 8 on the third. From there on out I got all the required reps without breaking.

Dips 2 days ago were the same. On the first round I got 12 before a rest, followed by 10,8,6,10,10,10 on the following rounds.

This is kinda big, but should give you some motivation and an idea what this workout is like.

She really slogs through the pressing. only getting 1 rep at a time near the end before needing rest.
