Great job on Barbara. I called it a day after 3 rounds, even with a nap.

Damn impressive! I tried Barbara today -- did 3 rounds with each exercise at 1/2 the required reps. Killer. That you got through it at all is a major feat!

Bill2380/Lance: Still very nice work. That was a rough one. I'm really feeling it today.

liftintexas: They are creative, and hard, but they aren't mine. Check out Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness if you are interested.

RacerBill: Thanks...I think =-p

So today was running, and since Mel wasn't going to the gym, and my gym is 20 min away (by my work) I decided to give it a go outside.

Run 5K

I'm actually pretty happy with that time. 12-20 was a treadmill run, today was an outside run, 40 degrees, so was in full cold gear. I also ran 1.75 miles yesterday.

It just felt really nice to get out in the cold some. I don't know why, but after you are done it just feels so...cleansing or something.

"Helen"
Three rounds for time:
Run 400 meters
21 swings 55 pound dumbbell swings
12 Pull-ups

Post time to comments.

A little Modification here. I don't have a treadmill, so I ran around the block for my 400 meters. It is just over .4 miles a lap. Also I don't have a 55 lb db, so I used my biggest, which is a 50.

Not too bad considering my workouts have been pretty spotty this month.

Crossfit workouts just flabbergast me Chris... there's actually going to be a facility opening right up the road from me which I plan to hit here n' there to use their bumper plates. Of course, it's TWENTY FRIGGIN DOLLARS for a class, so infrequent is probably an overstatement.

Nice lifts!

Ok seriously. What the hell? Not much of a "Welcome back." Other than the 3 bars of death, this is the hardest workout I've ever done. My times were all kinda wierd, and I lost track how many times I had to pause to keep from yaking. Anyway, here are my times.

R1: 5:05
R2: 8:17
R3: 11:01
R4: 12:11
R5: 7:27

Total with rests : 56:04
Nice work sticking that out for all five rounds! An hour is a LONG time to be hitting those movements.

Bill2380: Thanks allot. Lets see if I can make some of those other exercises move next time!

tkinsley: Thank you! I've always wanted to visit a xfit gym. there are a couple here in stl, just never went to one.

UpNorth: It felt more like 3 hours while I was doing it.

Rest day yesterday (yays!), but ugly day today.

30 Muscle-ups for time
Post time to comments.
If you cannot do the muscle-ups do 120 pull-ups and 120 dips.

I don't have rings, so 120/120 it is... yuk.

Those Crossfit workouts look a bit beyond me at this point, but someday I'll try one. Great job in keeping up with them.
