Tom, it's worth a look. I thought it was funny.

Default Hypertrophy I, workout A #6

Wednesday, January 16th. Hypertrophy 1A

All exercises are 3 sets, 15 reps, normal tempo, rest 30

Superset with full rest
Dumbell incline bench press
25 = 25lb dbells, etc.
Set 1 25 x 15
Set 2 25 x 15
Set 3 25 x 15

Cable seated row
Set 1 9.0 plate x 15
Set 2 9.0 plate x 15
Set 3 8.5 plate x 15

Superset with full rest
Dumbell shoulder press
Set 1 20 x 15
Set 2 20 x 15
Set 3 25 x 10

Wide grip lat pulldown
Set 1 8.0 plate x 15
Set 2 7.5 plate x 15
Set 3 7.5 plate x 15

Superset with full rest
Close grip bench press
Set 1 65 x 10
Set 2 65 x 10
Set 3 65 x 12
I sucked big time today. These were so hard @15 reps. The last set was a more 'normal' grip. That was better.

High pull
Set 1 50 x 12
Set 2 65 x 10
Set 3 65 x 15

Thoughts:

I sucked today in most everything I did. I was also limited for time, and felt I was rushing. But, I went, I did it, and here are the results. I feel like I am going nowhere with this now. I have loved NROL, but now I am searching for strength and heavier weights.

I feel plateau'd with these workouts. At 15 reps, it's hard to build strength by increasing weights. I just cannot do 15 reps at say 30lbs or higher. Will see.

Food is good, protein shakes, eating clean, etc. I have to take some measurments soon. Someday I will post a picture.

Thanks Mel, I just felt so alone! I know we all have these days, it just helps to vent.

Nice to have the support though.

Thanks,

Default HIIT interval day

Today was HIIT day. I had a pretty good run.

Warmup for 5 minutes at 6-6.2.

Intervals, 8.0, 9.0, 9.0, 9.5, 9.5, 10.1, 10.0: Rest between was 180sec, to 90 seconds.
Total time 20.00 minutes, 2.15.

Took a 5 minute break, sipped water and then back on the treadmill for 5 more minutes at 6-6.2.
1/2 mile to finish.

Funny today, I was on the treadmill doing my sprints, and the man next to me asked me if I was a marathon runner or competitor. I explained the interval thing...maybe I inspired him!??

Nice job representin' there Deb. Perhaps one less cardio bunny about (or is that term female specific?, and if so, what's the male variation...).

I like it - and somehow strangely appropriate.

Afternoon,

After some pondering, I've decided to keep on working out, but no more posting. My log doesn't attract much attention, and I've sunken so deep in the depths of threads, nobody wants to dig me out.

That being said, good luck to all, and thankyou to those who have supported me. I will be lurking and sometimes posting, but I'm done.

I've started a new program with Tony Gentilcore, and I love it and he is an awesome, knowledgeable trainer. Eric Cressey is also super. I'm lucky they're in my neck of the woods!

Keep on reaching for all your fitness goals.

Ahem - I always read and post to your log, so if you'd be good enough to continue it I for one would appreciate it.

Deb -

I had to drop out of the Training Log forum due to a heavy workload right after welcoming you aboard back in early October. I finally had a chance to start lurking again last week and was astounded by the activity here since December. When I saw your post earlier today, I looked through the pages and noticed that yesterday's posts went back 4 pages! Even Mahler was back on page 3 if I remember correctly, and other frequent posters were back on page 4. Astounding....

Please don't give up or become disappointed that your log isn't always "up front" somewhere....It's nothing more than a sign of busy times for the forum. From what I can see, you're not alone.

I hope to be back soon and I hope to see you here.
