Thanks guys! I only found out that I was accepted to Villanova today; I didn't get any of the details. I have to wait for that letter to come in the mail. They have a Business Honors program there, and if I got into that, it's pretty much a done deal. If not, I might be a bit more open about the decision, but I'm really leaning toward Villanova.
I was really impressed by the day I spent there at the business school. Everyone was so accessible - all the teachers, the students, even the heads of the departments and the dean of the business school itself were all available and I had several nice chats with many of them. What really left a big impression on me was one of the seniors in the finance department presentation. He carried himself with a confidence that I could pick up on from literally the back row of the classroom. When he was answering questions and talking about the program, he was articulate, poised, knowledgeable, all those things that you strive to be when answering questions in front of a crowd I pretty much saw in this senior what I want to be like when I'm a senior and about to graduate. Plus, I wouldn't mind interviews with some of the top firms he had them scheduled for It was one of those, you get that feeling kinda things.
BC has an open house for accepted early action students around January 20. I'll see if I can get up there for that. I think right now, its #1 Villanova, #2 BC, #3 Georgetown. I really have to do more research on all three. No more worrying about if I'm going to go, now its worrying about where I'm going to go. With the choices I have, I will not complain about that.

good choices on schools!
do you know if you're going to get into ND? when does the waitlist end? Will that effect your decision at all?

I got deferred at Notre Dame, so my application enters the Regular Decision pool, meaning I'll find out about some time in March. I can't really do much more to improve my application than I have: post really good grades for the first semester and added a few more activities/accolades: Bloustein Scholar (state award) and I became a Eucharistic Minister, which will look very good at a Catholic school. I'll have to see what they say.
ND has been my dream school since forever. If I get in, then obviously it'll throw a wrench in the plans. :p Luckily, I have until May 1 to decide finally. I really think that if I got into the Honors Program at Villanova, I'd head there. I'm in a similar program at the high school level and have really enjoyed the added benefits. I can't go wrong at any of these schools; it's all about how much I put into it.
I think I have a vague idea of my order of preferences, but I really have no clue . There's always the possibility of doing my undergrad work at one school and going for graduate school at another!

Lower Body - Speed Strength
A) Box Squats 6 x 2 @ 120
B) Deficit Deadlifts (off 3" box) 3 x 5 @ 245, 265, 285
C) Reverse Lunge Front Squat Grip 3 x 5/side @ 45, 65, 85
D) Elevated Split Squat Iso Holds (Front foot on 4.5" box) 2 x 45s/side
Really worked on the reverse lunges. I've been reading over Mike Robertson's stuff over the past week, especially his stuff on lunges. A couple of eye openers as to what I've been doing wrong. Form was a lot better this time and I could feel the difference. I worked on the front squat grip too and was able to do the first two sets with a clean grip and the last with the straps. I'll use the clean grip for as long as I can each time, to try and get used to it.

Upper Body - Speed Strength
A) Speed Bench no pause 6 x 2 @ 95
B) Bench Press with mini bands 1 x 10 @ 95 bar weight + 2 mini bands (I just read Tate's article on accommodating resistance and had the urge to use bands so I just added them to the weight I was using and did 10 reps)
C) Pushup ISO holds 2 x 45s
I wasn't feeling good at all. I attribute this to my lack of control over my diet today, as in eating a bunch of Milk Duds, Twizzlers, canoli, desserts, etc. I ate like crap today. I puked after the ISO holds. It was a puke it up and feel better kinda puke.
I need to keep my diet in check over this break. I can't go overboard.

Is this what you were reading on lunges?
TESTOSTERONE NATION - The Hardcore Lunge=
If you have other articles, I'd be really interested in reading them.

Yup, that's the one. I pretty much went over to T-nation. Went to the authors page, clicked on Mike and read all his stuff. That was a very good article with great vids. Really helped a lot to pick up one small things to key on; most of the time stuff I didn't even think about doing.

Good article. Thanks for mentioning it. I, too, picked up a ton of info in it and I'm doing a lot of lunges in my current program. I hadn't realized that some form problems with the lunges might be causing some of my knee pain problems, so today I really concentrated on not leaning forward, pushing through the heel, etc. It helped a lot.
