I'm so sorry to hear this, Jane. I sure hope that she pulls out of this OK. Meanwhile, my thoughts are with you and your mom.

Oh Jane, that's terrible. My thoughts are with you.
Today:
SHIT. I didn't pay attention to my macros as closely as usual, with the following effect:
2150
F 139g (too low, 140 is minimum)
P 165 g (too high, 160 is maximum)
C 30g
I'll count it as non-compliant by FIVE FRIGGIN GRAMS. Grrrrrrr!

Nonsense. I say compliant enough for govt work. And, lookie who works for the govt!
It's the spirit of the thing. You didn't cheat or just wing it.

One of these days I need to back figure out the compliance non-compliance stuff. Work has been totally kicking my rearend this week.
I've been pretty compliant over the course of the challenge. Not as compliant as some, but still for me, better than usual.
Calories have dropped a bit for the last two days since I haven't worked out. I think it was 2100 calories yesterday and 2000 today.

You can't be crippled by the macros. If you want to play by the "rules, rules" then I haven't been compliant except for the weekends. Breakfast and Lunch is 100% "in stone" right. It's easy to control and stick with. I don't count Supper at all. I get a largish portion of meat, any vegi's I want, 2 servings of starch (eyeball). That gives me 100cal (or so) to play with if I want some jello or a handful of nuts (I've got small hands).
If you don't have "some" variance then...holy shit...wow.

I went over on my calories yesterday . Not by a lot, but I did. I flew home last night and they served dinner on the flight (yay for upgrades). I ate the beef (not the cornbread or the cheesecake or the breadsticks that were on my plate too) and the salad. I was just really hungry and I KNEW it would put me over. So shoot me.
Easier Cardio Day
Calories = 11xTBW (1320)
Protein = 1.2gxTBW
Fat = whatever is left over
Carbs = 10-15% of total
My Totals for the Day
Calories = 1589
Protein = 110g
Fat = 78g (46%)
Carbs = 25%

Ah, but I DO have some variance--I have a 10 g window in either direction for both protein and fat. I exceeded my variance tolerances, and whether I put my face in a bag of potato chips or just ate too much whipping cream on my jello, I still went over what I defined to be compliant. I know it's not much, but it counts.
So, yup, in a perfect world, I'd say o-tay. However, this is the Sally-free zone, so I'll give myself a nice black mark instead.

I was non-compliant last night.
Went out and had several beers and some "extra" compliant food.

How is it we were all (varying degrees) of non compliant on Wednesday? Was it a full moon or something? Don't worry LD, non-compliance happens. Beers are usually worth the cheat if they're enjoyed out w/friends or something fun like that. Did you build any cheat meals into your plan? I can't remember. I built four non-compliant meals into my plan during the challenge. I guess I'll use Wednesday's airlplane dinner against it (damn. shoulda eaten the damn cheesecake too!).
I'm back on track. Went to the gym and did some liftin' yesterday.
Easier Lifting Day
Calories = 13xTBW (1560)
Protein = 1gxTBW (120g)
Fat = 30-35% of total
Carbs = whatever is left over
My totals for the day
Calories = 1531
Protein = 131g
Fat = 27%
Carbs = 142g/37%
Looks pretty compliant to me!

Jane, so sorry to hear that ... you'll be in my prayers ... and please let me know if you have any stroke/rehab questions (I'm a physical therapist) ... you can just PM me ...

Good for you! You need to get out more and socialize with people other than your sandbag!! Keeps you from actually turning into the serial killer!!

Jill. No cheats built in. My plan has plenty of room for fun foods on the bulk days, so I should try to hang by those.
So, every cheat day will count against my final score.
Good work, Paula! Congrats on that weight loss!
Tina, feeling any better?

Yes HELL is treating me well! I'm almost back weight-wise to where I was at the end of the challenge. I can actually feel the difference in my clothes too!
