Maybe they'll call me to come get my books today so I can start checking it out. I've got about 2 weeks to get a more specific plan in place.
Hope things go well as you & your family transition back to work, etc.

Well, things are not going well, but that's just life. He's having lots of paranoia ... it seems to come and go, and only mild delusions and he seems to be aware that they are delusional thoughts which is a big improvement. Work is a huge stressor for him and that seems to trigger it. I'm wondering if we have to adjust medication dosages. We have a joint visit with his therapist on Monday, so that is good. But thanks for thinking of us!!
Busy weekend ... well, busy Friday and Saturday ... yesterday was at Michaela's school all morning, then home and off to work in the mid-afternoon ... worked this morning and afternoon too ... busy busy busy ...
Saw a good movie this evening ... Crash ... it was unexpected. And UConn is winning ... Goooooooooo Huskies!!

Thanks guys ... today was better ... he is aware that these thoughts are happening and are screwing with him ... but I am really looking forward to this appointment tomorrow!
Planning a good workout in the morning ... and meals are all planned. Made a great lentil soup for dinner tonight (and fresh rolls for the family ... none for me but I did spend a good amount of time smelling them!! )

Didn't want to make a big fanfare about it or anything, but now that I have several ongoing clients (in person and online), I wanted to post the link to my website ... Keen Fitness ... I would really appreciate any feedback you all have ... good and bad ... you will NOT hurt my feelings! I just want it to be the best it can be.

Nice site - just wondering why the email listed on it is from a comcast.net domain instead of your own (keenfitness.com).

I don't understand. I kept hitting page down, page down, page down and it wouldn't go any farther. Is it broken or just one page long?
I like it. It comes right out and says someone should hire you.
My only suggestion (while I'm sorta drunk) is to have a link to an example or two. People who had problems, but now don't. Because of YOU! Cuz you, Julie, fixed them up.

Because I didn't pay extra to have email boxes ... I get 7 with my high speed internet of which I only use 2 ... so why pay extra?

You're a funny guy!! (No ginsu knives on my site!!)
I have plans in the works for "testimonials", but those who've promised them are still working on them! Anyone who has been helped by me is welcome to submit a testimonial!
And here's a workout ...
Extensive mobility/dynamic warm-up including foam rolling and softball rolling ...
Then ... supersets with no rest between exercises, and 1 minute between supersets ...
A1: Inverted Row 3x6
A2: 1-leg Deadlift 2x8 each side with 8kg KB
B1: DB Step-Up 10" 3x8 each side with 15# DBs
B2: SB Ab Crunch with 8# Med Ball 3x12
C1: SB Jackknife 3x8
C2: SHELC 3x12
Some stretching after ... I tweaked my proximal lateral hamstring (biceps femoris) sometime last week and could really feel it on the deadlifts and step ups ...
Off to eat and get running for our very busy day ...

(((Julie))) Your family is lucky to have such a strong woman at its helm during times such as these. When everything settles back down, your husband will have you to thank for holdingthings together.
Site looks good! Great job on moving forward. I think your mix of skills is great!

Thanks Brenda ... things are picking up at a nice even pace ... honestly I don't want to get too busy that I am struggling to have the at-home life I want ... right now I have a few in person clients (3) and a few online clients (3), so it seems to be a good mix ... and I might be a tad busier than I'd really like ... but that's okay for now!
Good workout this morning ...
Extensive warm-up as usual (about 15 minutes of dynamic stretching, mobility work, and activation stuff)
Followed by ...
A1: Assisted Chins 3x4
A2: Split Squat with Front Foot Elevated 6" with 15# DBs 3x8 each
B1: Push Ups (real "man" ones) 3x6
B2: Single Leg RDL with 8kg KB 3x8 each
C1: Ball Rollout 3x12
C2: Prone Ts and Ys 3x15 each
*60-90 second rest after each superset, but no rest between exercises
Eats are good today ... no cravings ...

Yoga this morning ... felt great ... I'm a little sore in my peri-scapular muscles, so getting them moving and stretched out felt great.
Planning a hike a while later this afternoon with a friend and her sons, one of whom is Michaela's age ... should be fun but COLD! I left my new winter coat at my client's house last night, so I've got to stop there first to get it ... doh!
Eats have been perfect ... slept great last night, and woke on my own at about 5:30 am.
Onward and upward ...

Hi Julie
Still really trying to catch up with everyone here! I'm so proud of you for keeping up with your diet and workouts during a very stressful time in your life.
I sure can relate, as I have dealt with mental health issues with two people in my life and I know how hard it can be -- emotionally draining. And, add to that the fact that mental illness of any sort is so hard to diagnosis and treat. I'll surely be thinking of you and your family.
Take care,
|
